Reviews of 2024 Walmart G1 Reissue Optimus Prime in Cartoon Deco with Comparisons

It would do my heart good to actually see this on shelf at my local Wal-Marts, and that show-accurate trailer is tempting...but I still have ol' New Years Convoy, and a ton of stuff I'm behind on collecting, so I probably wouldn't bite unless I was lucky enough to stumble across it on clearance, and I hope they never shelfwarm badly enough to warrant that.

Feels like forever ago that we first fond out about Hasbro and Walmart's next batch of cartoon colored G1 reissues, but the day has finally come! As part of Walmart's latest Collector Con orders have finally opened for Optimus Prime and Bombshell with Ramhorn. People concerned about the pricing of Prime with his trailer in particular will be happy to know that he's priced at $75, that's quite the contrast to the 2018 reissue of just Prime without the trailer that was $50 on its own! Meanwhile the other set is $35 to finish the Insecticons and give Blaster another tape.

And no, this is not a pre-order, these are ready to go now!

I was tempted to get this as an accessory kit for missing link prime. But maybe I'll just get a trailer alone instead.

If it's just for the trailer and you don't mind collectability, just get a K.O. Customise the fake bot into "dead Prime" my bashing it with a hammer or something.

Then feel free to customise the crap out of the fake trailer to make it "cartoon accurate" once the Reprolabels inevitably come out. With any luck, they will do the same as they did for SS86 Commander Optimus and give many options that you can buy separately.

Not that lucky, BB and Gears are scheduled for the end of March here. But these are just placeholder dates, they don't really mean anything when it comes to Walmart.

Doesn't make sense. They are mostly old releases. These store exclusives are non-sensical.

Below you will find a review for the G1 Ramhorn and Bombshel set. These are part of Walmart’s exclusive series of G1 reissues with cartoon decos. This set was found in Walmarts throughout Canada, with the specific picture below coming from a Quebec location. It is priced $49.97 Cad.

The review below compares the deco from the previous reissues which were more in line with the original toys.
