Rumor: Transformers Generations Selects G2 Sandstorm Revealed?

Well, both the Siege and Earthrise seeker molds are solid, so I'm all in on any additional seekers for either mold.

I may not be interested in getting the regular Coneheads. But that Select G2 Sandstrom may be a sure pre-order if it's a real thing.

That may be the reveal that the Singapore Transformers group was hinting at for tomorrow.

I would absolutely buy Sandstorm! I am all for using Selects to produce more obscure characters and G2 versions. I still hold out hope, faint though it may be, that they'll go back to the Combiner Wars molds and make a G2 Defensor.

It's possible that this is just a well done digibash or custom, as G2 Sandstorm hasn't been rumored at all, but until we get any confirmation from Hasbro or Takara, there's no way to verify this.

YES.

They made G2 Menasor, who's just as obscure. Why didn't they make a boxset of G2 Defensor?? I'd even be fine buying them piece by piece if they offered them as Selects figures.

I thought Sandstorm was a triple changer Autobot? This doesn't look anything like him.

I would love this if true.

More Seekers are always welcome in my residence. I’d kill for a Slipstream out of these.

I will trek through a desert to obtain this specimen, Sandstorm is the absolute sandy dunes and will make a fine addition to the collection.

Provided this is a legit upcoming figure.

While this is canon, my head canon for some universes is that Sandstorm actually started out as a Seeker (with addition to my head canon that the cone head was an alteration made to some Seekers as a punishment if they had committed an action that would be seen as a great shame such as notable failures or cowardice, etc) but at some point was able to regain his honor and had his body redesigned to the Triple Changer form we know him as, yes he would be a case of a Decepticon who joined the Autobots.

Just as a way to bridge the two characters together even with the notion that characters can share a name while being different individuals (much like how there are multiple Bobs or Peters, etc) with it possibly adding more depth to both characters.

Only problem there would be that Seeker Sandstorm is a G2 character one head cannon way to resolve it is that its a Beast Machines Vehicon generals situation, a spark being put into a new body and brain washed

He was never released or used in story material, but yeah it could also work the other way around since I see the Seeker body type as a mass produced shell that individuals get placed into unless said otherwise.

I would just change his name to "Dusty" or "Rudat" if I was getting one. It's not like it would be denigrating a character that has any kind of actual history beyond just never getting released.

What we really need honestly, is Jhiaxus. A voyager selects G2 inspired Jhiaxus. I'd be all over that.

I might get sucked into another Seeker armada.

Seekers are great because even a G2 recolor can be repurposed into a genericon. Even though that's true of basically any TF when you get down to it the cartoon and the whole nature of war planes really lends itself well to army building.

I am SO about this, been saying they needed to take advantage of all these weird seekers going all the way back to CW

Yup, I'm seriously hoping for a Sunstorm before too long; his Dreamwave arc is one of my fave TF storylines.

If they're doing a G2 Sandstorm, the other color scheme for the G2 Ramjet is really[i] close to Slipstream; I often like to pretend my G2 Ramjet [i]is Slipstream. If they make a G2 Ramjet out of this, I imagine it'd be a really easy base to make a custom Slipstream out of. Heck, I bet ya could get the Cyberverse one and head swap it.

I honestly have no interest in these new (to figures) characters in the Selects (given they cost extra cause ... Selects) but that Sandstorm does look good.

I NEED both that Sandstorm and Megatron!

Now to know who will sell them in Canada... But if they appear at Age 3 And Up, I'm preordering.

...Pulse doesn't start shipping either of these until FEBRUARY, huh? Good thing I wasn't interested anyway...

What I AM interested in is what that means for the Transformers Tuesdays reveals though, as we all assumed G2 Megatron would be one of those remaining 3 reveals and we only have a few leaked figures left.

God is real after all.

Take that Sunstorm and Slipstream fans, clearly Sandstorm is the top dog of obscure Seekers now because why wouldn't he be, he has the best character story and motivations since G1 Sideswipe that has placed more kids in closets than the death of Optimus Prime.

All hail Sandstorm the superior Seeker (and Conehead for that matter since Jamjet is dumb, Dirge is incompetent and Thrust is a coward, traits that don't exist with Sandstorm the absolute Darude unit.)

But does he qualify as a Sandwich?

Now that I see Sandstorm uses the camouflage pattern from the Gulf War/Desert Storm, I’m 110% sold. Still on the fence on Megatron but I’ll happily add more Seekers. I’d kill for Slipstream, Nacelle, and other Seekers!

So now that both Megatron and Sandstorm have been revealed in full, does this mean they are not part of the weekly Tuesday morning reveals? Kinda makes me think who our mystery Voyager is of these aren’t part of it.

Sandstorm looks great! (And not just because it's going to be the cheapest way for me to get the Ramjet mold )

Thanks to a post on Geek Culture, we have several in hand images of both figures, as well as an unboxing video showing their transformations (though neither has any new steps compared to their donor figures).



















Preorders are up now at Hasbro Pulse, Entertainment Earth and other sponsors, so get your preorders in now! These figures are due for release in February next year, though Entertainment Earth has them listed for a December release.

Sandstorm looks pretty cool, I'll probably just get him and the original trio and then I'm going to write off buying any more seekers. I can justify getting the same guy three times because I want Skywarp and why not get Starscream to complete the trio if I'm going to be forced to get Thundercracker because he's bundled with my favorite seeker. But I can't justify getting six of the same guy when I don't really care about the coneheads that much (I like Ramjet but Dirge and Thrust are kind of meh to me). So instead I'll just get Sandstorm and he can be my conehead. And Hasbro totally won't be able to rope me into any future seeker repaints.

Transformers Club Exclusives G2 Ramjet Gallery

I really want to redo this shot when I finish the rest of the Classics Seekers galleries one day! I think there were 31 total ... but unfortunately no properly done Sunstorm, which has always bummed me out. I could totally go for a 32nd Classics Seeker as Sunstorm. Hell, I'd even be game for the G2 unproduced guys like Sunstorm at this point.

Megatron hits me in the nostalgia a little bit. That mold, though.

Sandstorm looks fantastic. I love the teeth on the nosecone. I wanted it as a Classics Seeker when those were a thing and I want it now. Preordered!

I wonder what a Neo G2 lineup looks like by now. Between Funpub, Combiner Wars and the various other releases it has to look pretty impressive.

I just ordered him with EE. I have a feeling he'll be available again with Pulse. Red Wing is the only Selects figure that wasn't really easy to get at some point.

It's the wrong colors. Sunstorm is supposed to have white instead of black.

Yeah, the whole mix-up with e-HOBBY that inadvertently gave us Red Wing is to blame for that. Otherwise, Fun Pub would have colored that Sunstorm correctly.

Hasbro Pulse is sold out of G2 Sandstorm already, had to go with BBTS.

Since it's not due till February 2021 according to the site I placed a preorder on BBTS even if it's not the ideal price for a Canadian.

The Seekers are that important to me to collect that I'm not gonna lose out on him like I possibly have with Red Wing and Hotlink, I'll cancel the order if a better deal pops up else where.
