SDCC Exclusive Nerf Optimus Prime Blaster

GeekDad has the exclusive reveal today of the SDCC Nerf Optimus Prime Blaster. It is a Transformers Special Edition Nerf-N-Strike Barricade RV-10.

This Barricade RV-10 features styling based on Optimus Prime from Transformers, in addition to:

  • a motorized, semi-automatic Nerf blaster
  • a revolving dart barrel that holds 10 whistle darts
  • compatibility with the Nerf Tactical Rail System accessories

You’ll need three AA batteries (not included), so bring them and $24.99 to booth #3329 at the San Diego Comic-Con next week, because for now that’s the only place you can buy it.

Well, now I'm going to try to book a vacation to San Diego next week, so I can break into Comic con and buy this gun.

That...looks...totally badass! I want it! If only it wasn't an exclusive. And I don't really buy Nerf toys anyway.

As far as Nerf guns go, the Barricade is one of the most entertaining to use... it's a true semi-automatic. No re-cocking the gun after every shot - just release the trigger, and the barrel clicks over to the next dart.

What I don't understand is why someone would sell a Nerf gun at a site where they've said using Nerf guns can get you kicked out...

I see now,all this time Nerf was actually Autobot weapons manufacturers. Guess its true then..Its Nerf or Nothing.

as cool as it looks,i wouldn't waste the money on that. I would love to see a Megatron Nerf blaster.

That's the Barricade. It's semi-automatic and extremely loud when it's turned on. It jams constantly too. Don't bother getting it. if you want a really good Nerf gun, get the Stampede. It's a bit pricey and uses weird batteries, but it's got a great fire rate and range.
