Selects Super Megatron Now Available on Hasbro Pulse

In total, he has five official configurations, each with its own unique name:

Super Megatron
Super Jet Mode
Ultra Megatron
Ultra Tank Mode
Ultra Megatron Omega

I'd like to grab one someday. It's a cool figure, and within the crossover continuity of my collection it would give the character a form that stood a better chance against Cybertron Megs than he has as Galvatron.

There is just no way I could ever justify that selects pricing. I did it with Star Convoy, I regret it, and the damn thing broke so now I can't even sell it and get my money back.

Sucks as there are a lot of nice looking figures but oh well.

None of the other sites offering it for cheaper? You can also hope it turns up on mandrake for a decent price

Yup. It's 30$US minimum in shipping fees just for a pack of bubble gum. Plus they charge the Canadian taxes on top. That's why unless it's for an insane exclusive like the HASLAB Unicron, it's worthless for a Canadian to order anything from Pulse.

It's just plain ass expensive to ship to Canada. I've shipped very recently using both the USPS and FedEx and it hurt my butt both times (fortunately the latter was paid by my employer). The worst part is the damn customs form, so confusing.

My point? It's not the seller's fault.

That is weird, my Kraken has the sleeve. In fact the sleeve made me realize just how random Hasbro's numbering system is for these. I wasn't really paying attention and thought they were shipping in order, but then I saw the big 02 on the box and thought they sent the wrong figure. When I saw it really was Kraken in the box I thought they put the wrong box on him, but no, I checked Gulf and he was 04. So really Hasbro just screwed up the number order since they're in the same release order as Takara Tomy.

Now, did you notice there's no 05? That's been known for a while and there was a theory that the Super Megatron was meant to be 05 because he was teased at the same time as Turtler and Hasbro had already reserved that number. But now I can see that wasn't the case at all because I happened to catch this on the order receipt that came with Kraken.



Yep, Kraken was supposed to be 05 and it makes ALL the sense in the world. So how the heck did he end up out of order as 02? And was Super Megatron supposed to be 02 because that makes sense as well instead of thinking he'd be plopped in between Seacon releases? And if not Super Megatron then who did they think was going to be 02 originally? If they already printed the boxes and didn't want to waste them (character names aren't on the boxes, just their ID numbers) then it's a Deluxe box so it's a bit of a mystery.

Other than the tease of Armada Prime, I cant wait to see any future reveals from the TT portion of the selects line.

Only problem is... He's already had his number listed. He's TT-GS09. We're still missing 05.

You know, with the Dai Atlas gang, Star Convoy and now Super Megatron in Legends/SELECTS I wonder if we will see some reimagined Sky Garry and Grandus? Yeah I know Grandus is technically akin to a Titan but I could see him redone as a non base-former.

Tbh G1 toys are the last thing I turn to for scale. You know, TR Sentinel Prime into Sky Garry and a massive retool of Alpha Trion/Broadside into Sky Garry could work. Interestingly both figures might have the space (with retooling) to fit in a proper head and ditch the headmaster gimmick.
