Spotlight: Licensing Show 2006

Toy site Playthings is featuring a spotlight in the 2006 Licensing International trade show that is to be held today (June 20) in New York. The feature also has a spotlight in the Hasbro panel and what it has to offer on Transformers, which enforces what was described in Hasbro's press release earlier today.

Transformer fans will have a lot to look forward to next year as a new line of Generation One (G1) products hit the market—especially in the digital media space—due to a partnership with Activision. These offerings will debut in 2007 along with a movie produced by Dreamworks Pictures and Paramount Pictures. An extensive line of movie merchandise will be available, including digital media, apparel, accessories, publishing and home decor. Additional licensed products include comics (IDW), apparel and accessories (Accessory Network) and collectibles (Diamond Select Toys), plus an online personalization portal that will provide customizable classic Transformers images on t-shirts, sweatshirts and stamps.
