And I thought the Decepticons in general were better known for being able to fly - wouldn't a deluxe jet-former have been more apropos?

DeathReviews wrote:Isn't the Decepticon Trooper based on the Barricade mold, that many have said doth suck?
He is. but somehow the Trooper retool improves the mold a ton.

This isn't the G1 cartoon. The WFC and FOC video games reserved jet modes strictly for Seekers and Aerialbots only. These troopers aren't Seekers.DeathReviews wrote:And I thought the Decepticons in general were better known for being able to fly - wouldn't a deluxe jet-former have been more apropos?

The listings are the following:
86 Galvatron (only labelled as Leader Galvatron on Amazon). This is a redeco of the previously released leader Galvatron figure but in a cartoon deco. We are not sure if there might be retooling as well.

Apelinq, a redeco and retool of SS ROTB Optimus Primal

WFC Skywarp, redeco of voyager GE Starscream

Double Punch, a red redeco of ROTB deluxe Scorponok calling back to the color scheme of Beast Wars Double Punch, with the name calling even further back to one of the rarest Transformers toy molds to find complete, which also turns into a scorpion.

This isn't the only exclusive being offered. For those spending $800HKD ($102USD) they have "Transformers 40th Anniversary Commemorative Poker Cards" limited to 280 at the Expo (global number wasn't given). For those spending $500HKD ($64USD) they're giving out 280 40th Anniversary collectable coins which appear to be limited 5,000 globally. And while it doesn't appear to be exclusive, 500 sets of BotBots are being given to those that spend $300HKD ($38USD).
No word on where else these will be made available around the world, but we do have San Diego Comic Con THIS WEEKEND (Hasbro Fans Expo will be offering SDCC exclusives) so who knows? When we do we'll be sure to let everyone know and you can talk about it in the Seibertron Energon Pub forums!

Not a doubt in my mind, especially since it isn't limited to just Transformers purchases. A person can spend a ton of money on Marvel and Star Wars with no interest in Transformers and get one.

It would be difficult for them to remove one single accessory from that mold, better to just rework it in to the existing sprues.

ROTF Multipack revealed at SDCC, featuring SS-32 Optimus Prime, Jetfire, and (strangely) Arcee, Chromia, and Elita-1. Turns out there was only one deluxe instead of the rumored two. All figures appear to be unchanged except for SS-32, who has Energon swords instead of the blaster.
Posted by D-Maximal_Primal on July 28th, 2024 @ 1:52pm CDT
Also, It's kinda funny, this pack has all the bots who died in RotF. So it is in a way a bit of a corpse pack itself.
BTW, a Sentinel pick for fun

The Studio Series September unofficial fan tournament is BACK for its third year!
This fan-run tournament was started in 2022 to take a look at our substantial roster of remaining live action characters in Studio Series and have fun talking about the ones we’d most like to see in the future! Our first tournament focused on our on-screen cast, while 2023’s season focused on concept art and characters from other screens, which ended up timing nicely with the recent additions of concept art and gamer edition in the Studio Series line! If this is your first time with the tournament, here's a look at how those first 2 years went:
This fan-run tournament was started in 2022 to take a look at our substantial roster of remaining live action characters in Studio Series and have fun talking about the ones we’d most like to see in the future! Our first tournament focused on our on-screen cast, while 2023’s season focused on concept art and characters from other screens, which ended up timing nicely with the recent additions of concept art and gamer edition in the Studio Series line!
This year we’ll be returning to a look at our on-screen characters, so only characters who appeared on screen in the live action films! To get our bracket together we need your lists of top 10 characters you’d like to see in Studio Series! To post your lists, here’s your ground rules:
RULES FOR TOP 10 LISTS
1. Live-action characters only for this list, including the 5 Michael Bay films plus Bumblebee and Rise of the Beasts
2. Only characters who appeared on screen in robot mode in the actual films count for this bracket (Characters like ROTF Breakaway, ROTB Transit, DOTM Warpath, etc. are out)
3. Leaked/listed future figures are fair game! As we’ve learned, listings don’t always pan out so we’d like to show support for these characters all the way up to release! If a character on the top 16 is pipelined or revealed during the tournament, they will be removed from the bracket.
4. Redos of existing characters/designs in Studio Series will not count EXCEPT for characters who received a rerelease of an older figure instead of a new one (E.g High Octane and TLK Bumblebees, TLK Drift)
5. Remember to please be courteous and respectful in your discussion. This is just for fun!
As an example to get things rolling, here's my top 10!
1. Que (DOTM)
2. Hound (AOE)
3. High Octane Bumblebee
4. Bumblebee (AOE, Concept Camaro)
5. Hatchet (DOTM)
6. Devcon (DOTM)
7. Optimus Prime (TLK)
8. Optimus Prime (Evasion Mode)
9. Decepticon Protoform
10. Junkheap (AOE)

Speaking of SS TF:one Prime, he is pretty good. He is a nice sized deluxe, but I do not like the way the crotch works, and I wish he had some forwar/backwards play in his ankles. But otherwise, pretty solid and pretty fun.

Since I ended up with 2 Grindors to make the final project that also means I had 2 Ravages, so I did one in movie colors and another in his ROTF Recon Ravage deco!
Posted by -Kanrabat- on August 20th, 2024 @ 4:28pm CDT
Maybe as a final touch, do like the KO oversized Weijiang did and make a copter underbelly that can "transform" into some landscape for Ravage to prowl in? That would be quite the challenge I guess.

Thank you! That'd be really interesting, I wonder if there'd be a way to incorporate into robot mode or something too, give him some extra height.

One thing is sure for an underbelly part for the SS leader Blackout or Grindor, it would partsform. But what the thing will do is up to you.
Still, I find the landscape idea to be genius.

A couple notes on our new roster:
- All 3 unreleased AOE Dinobots made the bracket this year! Scorn was our only Dinobot in 2022.
- AOE Hound made a massive leap from 15th seed in 2022 to our top ranked seed this year!
- ROTB Stratosphere is our first character from outside the Bayverse to make the on-screen tournament! There were a handful that were voted for (Cybertron Shatter/Dropkick, different versions of ROTB Mirage), but Stratosphere is the first to make the top 16!
- Our runner-ups for the top 16 were AOE Concept Camaro Bumblebee, Evasion Mode Optimus Prime, and ROTF/DOTM Decepticon Protoform, all of whom were on the bracket in 2022.
I'll be posting links to the voting pages here when they go up. See you soon!

Frenzy - absolute must, should have been done in the first wave of SS Core figure.
Barricade - should have already happened, would have been easy to retool the previous AoE figure like they did the Dreads.
Devcon - Still feels like a wishlist figure that will never happen, but I'll vote for him every time.
Dispensor - Time for a Mountain Dew collaboration, stick him in a 2 pack with the Oreo machine guy (impossible, I know).

Nitro Zeus, I agree. But TLK Megatron is in desperate need of an upgrade. The old leader is sub-part and too big, while the voyager is almost perfect but too small.
A SS TLK leader that would use the old voyager as a base while fixing the kinks and make it a smidge bigger would be awesome.
Posted by EvasionModeBumblebee on September 6th, 2024 @ 8:14pm CDT
To weigh in on Nitro Zeus, I actually do think he needs a new figure. The TLK Nitro mold is super fun but it's also not super accurate to the movie (particularly with the arms and head sculpt). It's also much too tall for SS scale, Nitro is actually the same height as Ironhide in the movie!
Posted by -Kanrabat- on September 6th, 2024 @ 8:28pm CDT
I would have preferred black instead of dark gray, but these colors work.
Also, the complete trio looks great.
(Thrust was sold months ago.)
