Seriously though, the figure may look like it could use more polish but it doesn't look like total garbage. We've all seen way worse, haven't we?

It looks like something TakaraTomy would have designed in 1990, which is good.

I can't argue the statement either and while, surprisingly, I don't own Armada Sideswipe, I do have many other of the figures from that line (and others) that have left me me saying "WTF was I thinking???"
Still, and much pun intended considering one of his alt modes, this thing is a freaking train-wreck.

Sigh, such an awesome idea, yet, badly executed, for it's obviously super top heavy, & worse looks like a mess, & not at all cool or good.
...Dammit, TomyT', has gotta do better than that. Simpler, sturdier, stouter, & heavier at the feet so it can stand, and also give us HEAVY joints.
I'm not spending money on items that are that flawed anymore, not when you at TomyT', know about these issues, & have for years. Especially not at the import or "collector" prices. Even if I will likely see this at Toy's r Us at some point, I still would avoid it.

Why is it that Japan prefers Optimus Prime (Optimus EX Prime) combine with everyone.
(Okay 2 to 3 other autobots.) While the United States prefer that Optimus Prime be either a truck or monkey?

Not in my taste, but it's pretty cool looking. Wouldn't spend money on it though. Back in my day, Optimus didn't combine with anyone! Not Jetfire, not Godbomber, not even High-Q! I'm all for Optimus being something other than a truck or a monkey though. Unless he were a hat or a shoe. That would be silly.

And ripping off Transformers? No. In some ways, they have more badassery than some recent TFs.
