All monitors display blues/violets differently, and the camera will affect it too, so I don't think you can even assume there's any difference in the color based on these pics.

That's true and I factored that in. I compared the Seibertron image to this one, so I'm betting there's some sort of difference.

Personally it dosn't appear much of a difference, but arn't all the Takara figures suppose to be metallics?

Yes, I exaggerate, but the Japanese paint jobs are always cleaner and less flaw-prone than ours in my experience.
