Grimlock looking unusually flamboyant there... what would the other Dinobots say? :P

Brawn's head fits that Hardhead body alright.

Aye wasn't there talk on here(or on the hasbro tr thread) ages ago in the run up to Titans Return suggesting the possibility of individually released TM's(heads) or even in a pack? & now such a release is limited to Wonderfest! + it's a pity that Hasbro never jumped at the chance to release such a thing(instead we got the TM's with their weird vehicle/weapon type things)

Actually, I think the little vehicles have been pretty outstanding in most cases, especially the beast ones. And the weapon modes are nice since most of the Legends class figures from CW and TR don't have any weapons.

So Gong's blue helmet was not a mistake, it's intentional. But why? It couldn't be based on his original packaging art, which had blue to evoke the shininess, right?

Didn't Twincast take over as Commander of Autobot City in HM (and Metro Wars)? So the Hm of Broadcast is a shoe in for Takara Metroflex. Too bad you can't connect the play sets to the latter.

Speaking of which, Metro Wars happened after the Legends timeline and it was Twincast who commanded Metroflex against Metrotitan.

So somewhere along the way, the mass shifting transtector of his will be lost and he'll be back to normal size.

Oh dear. I think you just uncovered a continuity hiccup between Andrew Hall's "Metrowars" manga and Hayato Sakamoto's Legends manga.

Does anyone think there's a possibility that if Takara does Lightfoot, they'll throw a curveball and deco the figure like MTMTE getaway?

Considering that the base mold doesn't physically resemble any iteration of Getaway or Lightfoot (being just Chromedome's body in Getaway colors), with the head being the only aspect that really looks anything like the Getaway or Ligthfoot, but which Takara would probably end up retooling anyway since it doesn't already look like Lightfoot's animation model head, I really can't see the media-slavish Takara doing their own release of Lightfoot in the same vein as Hasbro's Getaway Breakaway.

I know right? It just looks odd, especially that last pic with the horn thingys up.

Anyways, this is a pretty cool set. Good for anyone in Asia or wherever who want to pick up these sculpts and aren't able to. Way better than their U.S. releases, that's for sure.

Also from Loopaza Mega Store on Facebook, via fellow Seibertronian Cyberpath and in addition to the official images seen so far, we have a group shot of the upcoming Takara Tomy Transformers Legends LG-EX Headmasters, featuring IDW Chromedome, Brawn (Gong), faceplated Brainstorm and Hardhead, Grimlock, and Flywheels. Check it out!

You know what's funny about the more IDW-based Hasbro head on the Takara Chromedome body? Takara Chromedome, while meant to be in more cartoon-based colors than otherwise, has a deco that is a little more closely-matched to IDW Chromedome's Shadowplay body than the deco of Hasbro Chromedome is.

So in a way, this release of the Hasbro head for Takara's Chromedome gives people an even more Shadowplay-accurate Chromedome than Hasbro's Chromedome does by itself. :-B

I think the same could be said for a toy-accurate Hardhead.

Or if you want a big-footed Flywheels (I'm sure that there's another way for that, though)

Those hips on Flywheels don't look good, like they're going to pop off.

I hope Takara goes the route of what they did with Computicon. Change/modify Scattershot, Strafe and the Lightspeed base vehicle. The Hb Getaway one is just plain lazy.

We seem to be quickly running out of Legends product at this point with very little new stuff, beyond this Headmaster booster pack, on the horizon. We're just waiting for Astrotrain, Lio Convoy, and God Bomber to drop...and then what? Is Takara going to put Legends on hiatus for a while to concentrate on The Last Knight? I would have expected some more reveals by now, even if they won't come out for several months.

I hope we at least get a few more holes filled too, like a Legends Eject repaint, Legends Buzzsaw, Rumble, and Frenzy, and some of the other recent Hasbro Legends releases like Brawn, Gnaw, and Kickback (thought I could see them being relegated to the Adventure line instead, like Powerglide, Cosmos, and the other two Insecticons were). It'll be a shame if Takara just skips to the new mold stuff, like Hot Rod, Kup, and Sixshot.

I did notice that TakaraTomy seemingly is leaving the 2017 (aka wave 3) toys alone for now: all upcoming releases, sans Godbomber, are from the 2016 part of Titans Return. With the Headmaster set "filling in the gaps" by giving TM Brawn, Clobber and Skytread Japanese counterparts (their vehicles have been released before), the only two toys without one are Stripes/Steeljaw and Rumble. Considering they're pretools and have no 2016 Titan Masters left to be paired up with (except maybe Sovereign and Orion Pax-faced Apex if they're bold) I don't see them being released in the short run.

Too bad they haven't announced any 2017 Adventures figures yet. I have a feeling Takara Tomy's big focus this year is going to be on movie toys and MPs.

Just look at the numbers announced between now and June:

Movie - 11 repaints
MP - 11 (6 new, 5 re-releases)
Legends - 3 (plus the exclusive head set)
Unite Warriors - 2
e-Hobby - 1
Adventures - 0
