TFcon Welcomes Back 80s Toy Expo

Posted by LOST Cybertronian Jun 28, 2011 at 9:21pm CDT 26,562 views
TFcon welcomes back 80s Toy Expo.

TFcon’s expansion to a 2 day convention was made possible through merging with the Canadian 80s Toy Expo on the Sunday of the event. This was necessary due to many dealers completely selling out of merchandise on the Saturday requiring a dealer room restock if a 2nd day was to be added. This year is no different with the Sunday bringing us Canada’s largest dealer room for 80s toy related merchandise consisting of dealers selling Super Heroes (Marvel, DC etc), Star Wars (new and vintage), Transformers (vintage and Japanese imports), G.I. Joe (vintage and modern), Masters of the Universe (vintage and classics), Wrestling, and tons of other Action Figures and collectibles. We will also welcome new guests to the convention on the Sunday.

I wish TFcon moved around like Botcon, then I could afford to go if they held it in my city. It's actually cheaper to fly to most places in the US (California especially) than it is to fly to Ontario. :(

Not digging the stickers, but I really like the blue eyes and grayish cannon.

Huh, I have a hook up for this. Looks kinda junky though. I think it's the stickers and that the head actually looks nothing like Fort Max's head at all. Harumph!

The TFcon website has been updated with a tentative schedule of events. If you are planning on going, then this should give you a good idea of what's going on. Events are subject to change. You can see the event schedule here.

A quick question to some who attend this canada convention.

Does Hasbro/Takara ever show any newer TF toys (test shots/proto types) that they didn't show at botcon's convention in the same year?

I ask because it would be kinda cool/awesome to see never before seen TF toys test )shots/proto types) at both TFCON & SDCC this year.

I remember Hasbro Canada previously showing pictures of store exclusives that had not been shown at Botcon before.
