my question is how does Heavy Metal War look? The Rhino DVD actually added more animated errors then what was actually there on the original 1985 broadcast (I know this because I have the original 80's tape).
1. Bluestreak transforming backwards
2. Megatron not moving once prime throws the rock at him
I don't remember anymore off the top of my head.... Oh yeah and when wheeljack shoots his gun at megatron. It seems like Rhino chopped extra scenes that were not there way back when.

and you call yourself keeper of the matrix?
Iirc, news first broke about this in March.
What had me the most excited at the end of the first clip was the change of scene animation. I'm praying that they keep the original commercial bumpers so we can see "Will continue after these messages".......

I was hoping no one would notice...
But that looks pretty cool for a boxed set. I don't know about $140, though...

so is it different from the Rhino box set? I heard some of the same sound effects that rhino created for their DVD.
Anybody know about Heavy Metal war?

Sorry Rodimus - being inside the matrix I guess I learn about things faster.
Yeah, $140 does seem kind of steep now --$80 to $100 range would be better. Heck, assuming the stores keep their prices, you could go piecemeal and get all 4 seasons at Best buy for ~$80 and at Target for ~$68 (each store has season 1 for 19.99 and 16.99 respectively). I'm praying that the price will be reduced somehow, and if not, that Shout Factory has something cool at their SDCC booth when you buy to make up for it.

Yeah but the boxset is suppose to have exclusives that the individual sets don't have. I'm also optimistic that Amazon and other online retailers will have it cheaper. The $140 is Shout!'s preorder price.

Let's hope so. As much as I love the show, times are rough financially right now. I'm still kickin myself for not taking any pix of it at Botcon!!!
At least I entered the raffle they had for the matrix set. I wonder if they've drawn the winner yet??
