Transformers 2 still on track?

Posted by i_amtrunks Dec 5, 2007 at 3:58pm CST 47,798 views
As we reported earlier, Robert Orci has claimed that:
Transformers is that the movie may suffer (unless of course you hate the first one so much that you feel our inattention is a bonus). It may be pushed back or a host of other thing may happen to it. For that we apologize truly.

Yet a post from Nelson at Shootfortheedit.com seems to disagree with Orci's statement:
BTW, Bay just indicated to me that Transformers is still on schedule. The movie is still in heavy prep and "will be released JUNE 24th 2009."

So what this means for Transformers 2 is still uncertain.

More information as it comes.

More Bots. More News. More Awesome.

June 24th 2009? Sure?

What this means is that no one knows what this means at this point in time.

Hey, as long as part 2 of TFTM is as good (or better) as Back to the Future 2 was to its counterpart, I'll wait the extra time.

What did they expect, the world to stop, cause they did? Alot of venues are starting to say enough and return to their venues without them.

I dunno... I have a hard time trusting Nelson. He never struck me as a super-reliable source. Sure, he's right sometimes, but other times... I dunno.

The facts are against him. How can TF2 be "on track" if the script isn't finished, and the writers' strike has no end in sight?

I hope this is true....who knows...maybe Bay is writing his own script? This stuff practically writes itself anyway, and its not like its the hardest movie to write a script for either.

It sounds to me like Orci was implying that he wouldn't be working on the movie if the strike continues. I'm for the writers getting what they deserve, but if they screw up Transformers 2 I will personally kick everyone responsible for the screw up in the nuts until they puke up a script.

It'll come out when it comes out. For crying out loud the huge push and campaign for the 4th of July went to crap when the movie came out two days earlier.

Paramount, Dreamworks, Michael Bay, and the Decepticons all want to make money. The movie will come out on time or sooner.

It will come out when it comes out. Rushing is not in anyone's best interest.

What that means is they're going ahead without a completed script. You KNOW it's gonna be good. I would love to see Bay write it though:

Bay: Well Steven, here's the script, "Giant Robot dances and pees on cops and the street explodes and the army is great, lil' bitches."

Steven: Wacky title, where's the rest of it?

Bay: Oh, that's it, that's the script. It's sort of a tone piece.

Steven: Well, just make sure Screamwave is in it, those dorks really like him.
