Transformers 3: Another Robot In, Another Robot Out

Posted by RodimusConvoy13 Aug 5, 2010 at 1:59pm CDT 84,261 views
Over at Shootfortheedit.com, Nelson let it be known that a character from "Transformers 2" will be back. He mentioned that a certain red Jeep will not be in the movie. He also commented on the silver Mercedez Benz seen during filming of scenes in Milwaukee.

"Uhm.... silver Benz is a car that Carly drives, and no Jeep Rollbar.

Wheelie (or Wheels like Bay likes to call him) is in."

So the little toy truck is back, the Alternator is gone and the silver Benz is just a Benz.

So what is the jacked red Jeep that clearly has "Rollbar" plastered on it? Me thinks someone got in trouble for letting details slip, and is now back pedaling.

FAIL.

FAIL.

FAIL.

But at least all of the deluxe Wheelies clogging the shelves right now will be available when TF3 comes out!

Why are they bringing back Wheelie and not Jolt? Wheelie was useless in TF2. Pretty disappointed in the returning (other than the main cast of course) and exiting robots so far. Wheelie's humour was terrible and completely unfunny in my opinion.

Sounds like a boatload of misinformation to me...why else would that Jeep say ROLLBAR on the side and be carted around the set a lot? If he was just someone's personal TF car, he wouldn't be up on a trailer like that... He'll be in it.

its kinda funny how people are saying "why keep wheelie and get rid of jolt"

well didnt wheelie move on the whole plot in rotf?

think he is the one that told sam and simmons where jetfire is.

and that is a big part in rotf come to think of it

but then again why is jolt gone also

i mean he was the one the helped prime so he could combine with jetfire and defeat the fallen

I THINK THERE IS SOME SERIOUS LYING HERE
jolt was pretty cool looking(as a toy)

wheelie better not be perverted again -.-

That's a pretty good point. I guess both characters were pretty benefitial to the plot of TF2. I just forgot about how useful Wheelie was because of his terrible personality. If they were to bring him back, maybe even change his vehicle mode and his personality, I would really not mind it at all.

As for this misinformation, it's possible that almost everything they told us so far is a lie. I mean, why would they tell us anything when for the last movie they told us lies. I guess we won't know for sure until the movie comes out. I hope the message about Jolt being gone is a lie...

Wheelie being in makes perfect sense. He was a robot with PERSONALITY, even if you didn't personally care for him. Jolt was a cardboard cutout with sparkly whips. Sure, in the toys and extraneous fiction he might have had a bigger role, but in the movie Jolt was a non-entity. Mainstream audiences won't even notice he's gone if he doesn't show up for part 3.

I don't believe this guy when he says the Jeep won't be in. He might not be named "Rollbar," but it's OBVIOUSLY a movie prop. Hell, it might just be some character's pimped-out ride with an Autobot symbol attached to show he's one of the good guys, but there's no WAY that thing's not in the movie.

There was no Mercedes in Milwaukee, other than the ones in the Art Museum. There were two silver cars here, though, an Aston Martin and a Jaguar XK.

And isn't the Mercedes they've been showing, black?

Too much information pointing the other way. I'm calling his bluff.

And I'd actually like to see Wheelie return as an autobot. I like miniformers

It seems I have to eat my words.

Apparently the jeep was owned by a fan, and there seem to be enough people corroborating this over at TFW2005. Allegedly. :P

Good point...I have some hope again! Nelson, either don't lie or shut up and don't say anything! Good to know Wheelie is back, I liked his character.

There are two types of Bayhem.
The one with make-up and the one without.

With Make-up, Bayhem is an amazing spectacle of destruction, special effects, the un-held-back transformation of everything from scenes of paradise to a singular apocalyptic aftermath, edge of your seat what happens next excitement...stuff that we forget that everyone learns in directing school...the usual cliches, one director will say about another...

Without Make up, Bayhem is the incapabability to film red (tho ILM are getting paid to do most of the film for you so you're barely filming the action) then import 3 red vehicles (fire truck,Jeep,Ferrari) when you ARE filming them driving around,HOWEVER at the same time the cability to help people diferentiate between two blue cars is lost to the Time/Space continuum. The Earth can't keep spinning unless one isn't there anymore.Explanation? From Me? I made Will Smith! I made Megan Fox! I made...Revenge of the fallen...*sigh*...
It's the incapability to name Brawl Brawl,or to make Starscream look like somebody who has the anatomic capability to move, or to deploy 'Chief Lieutennant Jazz' with actual troops to lieu-tend.It's the decision that since we didn't own Transformers as a kid, but DID own Roller skates, we'll be able to get our heads around Transformers if we put them all on Roller Skates.

What proof do we have that Nelson is not a victim of Bayhem? Okay, so there's a Jeep 'named' Rollbar. Does Bay even know it's there? Is he even aware that he ordered it? Did it just rock up to the filming on a platform without actually being supposed to? Or was it SUPPOSED to be filmed but didn't because it got forgotten about? Or did he detract from the gazillions he injected into the economy in order to buy a false prop to misinform people who he has a REALLY high track record of not valuing intellectwise in the first place. Either way,it's just Bayhem without Make-up. Why be surprised?
