It was previously reported that Don was very ill and has been hospitalised and details were given on how to send him your get well wishes (see Newsarama article here) . Now Don is feeling better he has sent out this message to all that wished him well.
Thank you, for your get-well messages and prayers. I am sure they played a large part in my recovery; I spent 4 weeks in a hospital and 2 weeks in a rehabilitation center.
I must apologize for this form letter but the enormous number of people who sent messages would make it impossible to respond individually. But my gratitude for your good wishes and prayers is in no way diminished. Please keep in touch.

Don Perlin worked on the original Marvel run of Transformers comics in the 80s as well as titles such as Werewolf By Night, Defenders, Bloodshot and Ghost Rider to name but a few.
