Our own Optimus Frimal has brought some comic books news to our attention. Newsarama.com has posted Marvel's solicitations for August. Included in the solicitations is the listing for NEW AVENGERS/TRANSFORMERS #2, which includes the fist looks at the cover for the issue. I'm really wondering if they were going for some sort of perspective technique with Wolverine. Somehow someone thought this was a good idea for a cover, but I'm not sure why. Does it harken back to an older art style from back when TF's and Marvel Heroes occupied the same universe/were produced by the same company?

Wow... I love Prowl, but Wolverine is terrible looking.

I could have sworn Jimmy Cheung was attached to draw all the the mini-series' covers. At least #1 looks awesome.

That is a fairly awful cover, Neither Wolverine or Prowl look menacing or powerful.. they kind of look like they have been sitting on the couch watching reruns for weeks, then finally decided to get back into action...

With such a poor cover, there is no way fans who are unsure whether or not to grab the series will pick it up. Covers are meant to make you go "oooo that looks good", not "what the???"

Oh lordy! I thought for sure you guys were exaggerating. Then that picture loaded in.... oh god, my eyes. My eyes! I'm all for stylizing... but holy slag.... I'm in shock. That was just... plain.... out of place. How'd that chimp get Wolvie's suit... and why Wolv and Prowl? That doesn't seem like a very likely pairing.

The story is gonna be great, the artwork is decent. Cover1 is fuc king awesome! Cover 2 average! Please don't look it at it now and say its gonna suck before it even comes out lets just wait and see what people that already bought it deceide. I assure you its gonna be fucking awesome!

Hopefully this is only the cover art and doesn't reflect the art inside the comics themseleves. I mean, Prowl is okay, but Wolverine just looks like an ape or something!

Wolverine and Spider-Man in all this makes this feel more TFs and Marvel in general, than TFs and The Avengers.

Prowl I like. Wolverine............that's another story. I realize they're trying to mke it seem like he's leaping out at you, but it's just not working. At least Captain America looked good in the first issue's cover. I hope they don't screw up anymore good Marvel heroes.............I like some of them.
