I'm really looking forward a Starscream Bishoujo statue. However, I know how anime figures works and even if repaints do happen, it always represents the SAME character. For Thundercracker and Skywarp, those are sure to be unique sculpts representing their unique traits and personality.

I wouldn't count on it here though. I posted earlier in this thread some straight G.I.Joe repaints that represented different characters. I fully expect "Starscream Blue" and "Starscream Black".

As far as Kotobukiya Bishoujo statues go, the only Joes repaints I'm aware of are the Baroness, Lady Jae, and Scarlet. All have color variants but they are not different characters.
Also, in Statue collecting it's important to have different poses and expressions for characters that normally looks "the same". Especially for main characters. I've yet to see lazy repaints for main characters in the expensive statues world.

No, Scarlett and Lady Jaye were different characters, they just didn't bother changing the names since they're pretty obscure but unique nonetheless.

Maybe as obs characters a simple repaint is understandable. A "why not".
But Thundercracker and Skywarp are main characters so they cannot be simple Screamers repaint. But for oddballs like Red Guard and Hotlink, it's possible.

usually when that happens, someone comes on and starts complaining about it as a white knight type.
Still I want to see Arcee and Blackarachnia done in these. I like these gender bending ones, but I hope they give the girls some love too. I've seen some really awesome versions or human arcee and I think the Bishoujo statues could do an absolutely stunning version.
And I really want to see that broad g2 megatron done. yup yup. G2 megs is probably my favorite version tbh. If they do him, I hope they use a different design and no just repaint.

Indeed....well the Megatron fig is an absolute buy. I think of past variant's from other figures it would be cool if the powers give us a Nemesis Prime variant and variant G2 Megatron...'nuff said!
