Transformers Generations Selects Super Megatron New Images with Star Convoy

For those of us who missed or skipped Stay Convoy, would you say Siege Galaxy Upgrade Prime is a good counterpart for Super Megatron?

Height-wise, the Titans Return mass retail Voyager class Optimus works and is even colored like Star Convoy (save for his lack of a silver forehead crest).

Thanks to the expanded G1 lore, Optimus's final G1 evolution is the ordinary-looking body he had at the end of the Legends manga Epilogue, when he and Megatron finally brokered peace together.

Megatron, however, does get his final form with this toy, that being Ultra Megatron Omega.

If it's any consolation, the Takara Selects Manga takes place between the end of American G1 and Japanese Headmasters and has Optimus and Megatron become Star Convoy and Super/Ultra Megatron early so in terms of the Selects releases, these are their final (so far) G1 forms since this is a new JG1 continuity that splinters off at The Return of Optimus Prime.

It retains -- in theory -- prior differences like 2006 vs 2010 for Season 3 but is basically a reboot of Japanese continuity without all the detours.

Now... If you wanted to have a different Optimus who is contemporary to Ultra Megatron, Nucleon Quest Optimus immediately follows so you could use PM Optimus Prime's reprolabels on Primitive Optimus Prime.

Everyone's talking about deep JG1 lore, meanwhile I'm over here just excited to see that Megatron's looking even better than I thought he'd look. I just hope that his ankles are tight enough to support his weight cause I was messing with my Galvatron figure the other day and the ankles were giving me some trouble

Indeed.
Megatron deserve to be able to have a "super mode".
Leader Megs could even be a heavy retool of Leader Shockwave or follow the same kind of concept.

You can blame the cartoon scale for that. Last time we got a megs that was bigger then Prime in that fashion was Animated. Other than that they've been mostly the same size.

Well there was also Combiner Wars, but many people didn't like Voyager OP for being a torso and Leader Megs for being too skinny.

Yeah I should have specified that I meant fiction though CW megs and op is interesting as megs is bigger then stand alone op but op combined is bigger.

Yes, since we have seen his red forehead with the regular face and the battle mask. Logically he can do the battle mask with the regular forehead.
