Ironically, that's also the price my local geek store sell Motormaster for. He also have a few Rodimus Primes for 120$. That's the price I paid at Amazon. Looks like it's sold out at Amazon.
Still plenty of Leader SS RotF Scavengers to go around though, online and off. But this time around, ironically at full price. Why so many tho?

I never, ever saw any Commanders at Walmart too. Just online, my local geek store, and at Toys R Us.
Right now, you can still find Rodimus Prime in TrU's brick and mortar stores on clearance at 84$CAN. Strangely, I never saw Motormaster in a TrU store.
Motormaster sold like crazy in Canada. Looks like people were ok with that $140 price.

Exact same thing at my Target.
Like most figures there are issues with the individual Stunticons, and even with Menasor as well.
And yet, overall, both the figures and combined form are really pretty well done.
Not sure how Hastak can match this with other future combiners when the torso bots don’t have the support (literally) of a trailer type of component.
I’m sure eventually it will get sorted out.
But either way, this Menasor is pretty special.
Especially for those of us that appreciate how G1 accurate this version is.

Fortunately I preordered Motormaster shortly after listing so he wasn't that difficult to get, I had a $20 gift card at Amazon so he only ended up costing me $60! Preordered Wildrider the same time but paid full price for him.

Wow. The people who buy Leo Prime, expecting the figure to look as fearsome and impressive as the box art, are in for one WHALE of a disappointment...

Isn't that the rule for 99% of the transformers ever released?

My WalMarts are still on Wave 1 over Legacy. Thank God for online buying.

Maybe, but not to this extreme…
Most artwork stays pretty close to the actual figure designs, maybe hiding hollowness/gaps…
But that Leo artwork is a fully organic-looking lion, appearing like something from a movie or tv show…
And in comparison, that figure is nowhere even close.

We had three Stunticons in a wave during Combiner Wars. I understand variety and diversity, but then we end up with situations where a number of people will never have a complete Menasor.

I would assume tooling budget plays into it as well as other factors. I'm sure for collectors it might have been more convenient to have them all out at the same time, but if retail isn't getting them in consistently what good is it? It would only be beneficial for online shoppers to get them all at one time. There's also the fact of breaking them up so it's not as hard on the wallet having to get them all at once, at least for those who only need Stunticons and none of the others like me. This current lull in product would have been a blessing if I was to buy them all at the same time, because for me t's been a blight for a good several months.
Aside from finally getting Rumble the other day, Wheelie a month ago and Elita-1 and Wild Rider about two months ago. So it definitely would have been absorbable compared to other times when more were available that I wanted.

And a lot of people still didn't get Menasor in CW because their stores skipped Wave 2 and moved onto wave 3. But its also the factors that Till-all-r1 says above me. Basically, if Hasbro could have done an all Stunticon wave...they would have done it. That they didn't is its own proof. This (outside of a boxset) was the only way to handle them at retail.

Did the people that didn't find Commander Jetfire at Walmart look in the right place? Most sightings came from the car shelves, not the Transformers section. That's where I initially found him, then he got moved to a toy overstock area before going to clearance in the span of two months or so.

That CC Jetfire at Walmart was a complete cluster. I found mine in the action figure aisle, just not with the other TFs. This happens often though. For all the talk of plan-o-grams, I'm not sure if it's because the employees are incompetent, or just don't care, but they don't know how to handle variance at all, so when a new random item arrives they just place it anywhere, And sometimes won't even make a price tag on the shelf for it.
I've seen some weird stuff. Even so much as adding plastic peg holes to Voyager and Leader toys so they can hang from pegs, which of course rip over time because of the weight.

While I wasn't looking for Jetfire, mainly because I didn't know anything about him until it was too late. I stopped playing wild goose hunt for stuff long ago, if I can't find it in a logical location near actual like product then I don't find it. Now I'll look on the overhead above said section as well as the whole AF isle just in case, or even behind other products. But going into the doll section or bike accessories feels like a fools errand and often just a waste of my time. I've rarely ever found what I'm looking for in a completely different section/area. Aside from something that looked discarded on the way to somewhere else.
Also how do you "miss" a Commander Class box? I can understand a DLX or core being lost somewhere out of place but the size box of a CC isn't something you would generally look over and not see. lol
As I've said I haven't seen a CC in a store since 2019 and any time I've ever gone into a Walmart they've had almost zero product for pretty much any product I was looking for, other than core class which doesn't interest me. Maybe it was simply due to the fact someone else was more dialed into shipments and got there before me every time and bought what little they did get in. IDK..
I can understand why some Walmart stores in certain high theft areas would pass on such an expensive item and just not carry it, that might be why some could find him either.
