TRANSFORMERS MOSAIC: "Duel"

The Universe of the Transformers is vast, and populated by many characters. Their universe is a large tapestry, made up of the stories and points of view of countless experiences that serve the larger whole.

These are some of those stories. This is:

It should be noted that while this project has been recognized by IDW Publishing and Hasbro, none of the works presented have been commissioned or solicited by either company. The stories are not official canon, except where noted.
These stories are the result of Transformers enthusiasts taking the time out of their busy days to contribute to a universe they love.
No one has been paid for the production of these stories.

This piece is titled “Duel”. Story and Art by Matt (Blueshift ) Marshal, Letters by Matt (Fullcrum) Kuggeleijn.

More Bots. More News. More Awesome.

I love all of these, it seems. On the day I can find nothing good in a Mosaic, I'm reasonably sure the Universe will collapse. The smirk is great.

You really get to see how devious & cunning Slugslinger is here. Poor Sureshot though, he a good Autobot, & he here is getting shot in the back. But Slugslinger is right, you've gotta know the rules of war. Go read Sun Tzu Sureshot....

HOLY COW!!!

the art's nothing to write home about (no offense guys :D), but a Mosaic featuring Sureshot?

pretty awesome.

i really love this Targetmaster. he was my first and only TM. my cousin from there in the US sent this to me in a package of American goodies when i was younger, and even without its Targetmaster buddy, i was smitten with this toy. he was pretty solid, and though articulation was limited, he had a very fun transformation and a very cool looking alt mode (try futuristic dune buggy).

a darn shame i lost it when we moved. that character had so much nostalgic value for me back then, even now. so many thanks to Blueshift and Fullcrum for this wonderful Mosaic!

awesome work guys!

Oh my god that was awful. I've liked most in the past, but that was both poorly scripted and poorly drawn.

I'm wondering if they might have fewer viewer problems by using some of the "internet standbys" like ImageShack or PhotoBucket (although I can see it fine myself).

Anyhoo. I *like* the art, personally. Nothing wrong with "cartoony", IMHO, and this is good cartoony, with some nice detail. Plus it added to the dark humor of it for me ("Oh, look, mines!")

...and I still like the Evil Smirk.

I liked the story.

If anyone is listening, or taking requests, please do a Triggerhappy story. I love the con target masters.

On a side note, Misfire would be a great comedy story.

No offense taken on anyone who didn't like the art. I'm not a big fan of my own style myself, and its an aquired taste. Its just so hard to find people to draw stuff about obscure guys :)

I'm also really flattered that every comment has been uniformly positive. Save for this one:

Down_Shift wrote:Oh my god that was awful. I've liked most in the past, but that was both poorly scripted and poorly drawn.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of criticism. No-one is perfect and everyone can stand to improve. But... this comment tells me nothing. Yes, you are free to dislike it, but don't just leave a jerk-like comment. Be constructive, say *what* about the script was poorly done.

That'll learn ya Sureshot. There are those that would challenge you fairly...and then there's Slugslinger. Should've challenged his old 'buddy' Treadshot instead.

Another nice piece.

Wow  . Definitely one of my favorites now, you really packed a lot into a single page, used obscure characters, and had closure. The writing I felt was great too.

The art style isn't what I'm used to seeing, but it has a certain charm and appeal about it, so I think it's good.

Yep, topnotch all around ;)^ .

That was so funny and unexpected.
The look on poor Sureshot's face is classic.
