How does Trailbreaker use his shield to infiltrate? And if the Autobots have access to a teleporter, why bother sneaking in at all?

For those of you who dont get it think Predator. Same concept as there cloaking tech. Also stealth camo from Metal Gear. Trailbreaker im guessing tweeked his shield to refract light instead of reflect to make him blend in with the background.

His shield can reflect light? I thought light passed right through it and reflected off of his body.

I appreciate these are fan made pieces and all the other schtick people bring out when anything like this is criticised, but wouldn't Mirage have been a far more logical choice of character? Or Bumblebee, or Jazz, someone with some sort of espionage connection. This really doesn't make much sense for Trailbreaker.
