The Universe of the Transformers is vast, and populated by many characters. Their universe is a large tapestry, made up of the stories and points of view of countless experiences that serve the larger whole.

These are some of those stories. This is:

It should be noted that while this project has been recognized by IDW Publishing and Hasbro, none of the works presented have been commissioned or solicited by either company. The stories are not official canon, except where noted. These stories are the result of Transformers enthusiasts taking the time out of their busy days to contribute to a universe they love. No one has been paid for the production of these stories.

Awesome! This is probably the best B&W Mosaic I've read, partly because it evoked the feel of the downsized Marvel UK book before Earth Force kicked in, which included the first stories involving Thunderwing. Other Mosaics could benefit from that association, as the challenge of cramming a story into one page is reminiscent of Furman having to cram one into 5 pages (correct #?).

Also interesting that the two characters used here were both defined entirely by Furman in G1-2 as badass Decepticon leaders, only to be transformed by said same Simon into scientists for the IDWverse. While somewhat necessary, I thought it felt contrived at the time, yet showing them parallel here as one sends the other down the road to becoming an uncontrollable menace somehow makes it all seem smoother. Thunderwing still seems like his same troubled self despite lacking his Matrix obsession, and that takes talent.

Looking forward to more!

this would have been really awesome with...COLOR, the story is simply amazing but the overall mosaic feels unfinished

When I read this the voice I hear is ZULE's from Ghostbusters speaking to him.

Nice mosaic. amazing art.

Just a pity it's not set in the Marvel universe. Preferred the Marvel incarnations of Jhiaxus and Thunderwing. To me, Thunderwing's affinity for the Matrix was what made him interesting, along with his concern for his troops. It also set him apart from the other Decepticon leaders. IDW ruined him for me when they neglected those aspects.

Anyway, still a nice mosaic. The art reminds me of Batman: Black and white, which I loved.

Don't think we've forgotten them. Actually, we believe that Furman added at least one hint to that in the new version, and we're gonna exploit it in another story, sooner or later.

Hahaha, funny coincidence, I had just watched again that movie, after many years, when I started working on this script.

Correct, and I loved those B&W Marvel UK stories focused minor characters.

Also interesting that the two characters used here were both defined entirely by Furman in G1-2 as badass Decepticon leaders, only to be transformed by said same Simon into scientists for the IDWverse. Thank you again, that is truly flattering: but, in truth, we just expanded the basis that Simon Furman cleverly set in Stormbringer (in the flashbacks, Thunderwing was clearly shown as an obsessed mech!).

Looking forward to more!
