The Universe of the Transformers is vast, and populated by many characters. Their universe is a large tapestry, made up of the stories and points of view of countless experiences that serve the larger whole.

These are some of those stories. This is:

These stories are the result of Transformers enthusiasts taking the time out of their busy days to contribute to a universe they love.

Man, those Scraplets work FAST.

I'm surprised he didn't try to infect the Decepticons. Good way to take down your enemy.

So how would Defensor work now???

I can't believe he didn't do much to try to save himself. Clorostop should be a part of any medical unit now! Also, have the Transformers never heard of rubber gloves? You can't just go feeling around in someone else's body without some kind of barrier.

If they knew what this was, that it was out there, you would think they would have some sort of protection or probing tool to do it for them...?

First Aid, why!?!

First Aid is a pacifist, the last thing he'd ever try to do is get someone killed.

My guess is that this takes place in the IDW continuity. Which is odd since the writer tried to tie the Scraplets into Cosmic Rust. Which are two different diseases. That's part of why I can't really get behind this story. It's as if the writer never bothered watching the episode with Cosmic Rust or reading the comics involving the Scraplets.

Cosmic Rust only spreads that fast if their's a signifficant heatsource. And I find it hard to believe that First Aid would get apathetic about his situation and just sit there and die. He always struck me as the sort of charecter that if he had contracted a disease he'd go out of his way to find a cure for it. Also why is it that the corpse is whole and by the end of the comic First Aid's left arm has "rotted" off?

Other then that the art is pretty good. It's the story I just didn't like. I feel that First Aid was out of charecter and that the story was hastily researched online. I've seen worse Mosaics and I've seen better. Overall it's ok.

I can't speak for the continuity (though I think "Scraplets" is a Marvel continuity thing), but as for the characterization... this *is* a Bot who was at least willing to leave the Autobots and go mope in a junkyard when he thought his pacifistic philosophies endangered the Autobots and rendered him useless to them.

Man that would be like every cure being in every doctors office. That ain't gonna happen cause A-shelf space, B-Pharmasutical kick backs.

At the rate of decay he had going on, and the blatent "I'm not Ratchet" statement, it seemes like the right move which of course isn't always the easiest.

It does however raise the issue, what would a gesalt team do if one member is terminated?

Maybe Defensor would be one limb short, or they could modify another Bot to combine with them.....

Couldn't he just rip off his arm as soon as he noticed the infection in his fingertips?...

Other than that, I notice the quality of the Mosaics is getting better and better. Especially artwise. Some of these fan created artpieces are on serious mainstream comic level.

Great point, but I still think that he would have had some kind of probe. I know it was a battlefield setup, but man...

I suppose the outside of the body was preserved somehow, and the inside had just rotted away. I still would think with the supposed advanced tech they would somehow be able to spot this before just feeling around and touching it.

The rate of decay is a good point though...inconsistant writing, but it must be good enough because we are talking about it.

I do have to say I love these types of stories for TF. Cosmic Rust is one of my absolute favorite episodes of G1, I liked the Scraplets story back in the day, and I thought the Swarm from G2 was cool. It's just that I'd prefer such things to happen to generic bots, instead of ones that we're very familiar with :)
