The Universe of the Transformers is vast, and populated by many characters. Their universe is a large tapestry, made up of the stories and points of view of countless experiences that serve the larger whole.

The stories are not official canon, except where noted. These stories are the result of Transformers enthusiasts taking the time out of their busy days to contribute to a universe they love. Nice art and dialogue! Love that someone actually expanded on the time that Somkescreen was in stasis lock. I would love to see a similar type story for when he becomes Hoist!

Love the story, but I am a bit confused. Why is Smokescreen in Hoist's body? Is this a different version that I don't know about?

In Armada Somkescreen is damaged and he was "supposed" to die. He was then later rebuilt into Hoist. Same spark, different body.

Ah. Never was much into the Armada line. Was probably the least favorite (even more so than headmasters).

Ah, good times. This takes me back to when I was a kid watching that episode when he got blasted. It was such a sad episode but then it was better when they made him Hoist.

Awesome mosaic, one of my favorites. I love any mosaic focused on Armada, it takes me back haha. Nice fill in to what was happening to Smokescreen when he was being rebuilt by Red Alert.

I had drifted out of the Transformers world when Armada came out. I have several figures and the playstation one game was IMO, the second best TF game ever made. I really liked the smokescreen toy though. Which you guys did a great job capturing his tough, stocky appearance.

Very well done. An enjoyable read and a very fascinating look into one possible view of what a bot goes through being stuck between here and the hereafter. I would very much enjoy seeing a follow-up to this taking place just prior to and during his transfer to his new body. What an experience that must be.

Think along the lines of Bumblebee becoming Goldbug in G1's "The Return of Optimus Prime" (or the spoof in which he becomes ...ah anyway)

It's also clearly an homage to the 1986 UK Annual story 'Victory', where the Dinobots keep trying to wake up from their tar-induced comas, though they didn't have to be rebuilt.

This is more compelling than how it was handled in the cartoon. Didn't Red Alert have him rebuilt into Hoist by the end of the following episode?

Seems like any other "coma" story, canned, uninspired, nothing special.
Even Megatron's coma in the All Hail spotlight was barely interesting.
