Autobase Aichi has posted an in-hand comparison gallery of Transformers Robots in Disguise Gold Armor Grimlock and Night Ops Bumblebee! Bumblebee has a history of getting redone in black and Grimlock has a history of... well looking G1, and these repaints deliver on both counts. As we've recently reported, Grimlock appears to be sporting not quite gold but not the orange originally seen either. Instead it appears to be favoring the bronze flavor that his Age of Extinction counterpart had. See for yourself down below, and stay tuned to Sebertron.com for all your Transformers News!

Grim looks good, I can get over the lack of detailing on the arms. Maybe I'll get him as a mini me for my FOC grimmy, he can sit on his shoulder!

I will probably put sharpie on either just the rims or just the tires so I can have either:

Black rims but yellow tires.

or

Yellow rims and black tires.

Which one do you think is better guys?

But here in Canada some car stores
stores/garages sell colored tires believe it or not.

Not a huge amount of them but they exist.

Was going to say the same thing. I guess it's looking a little more bronze than usual, but I'd rather have this than cheap yellow chrome.

And that said, this is definitely the Robot Gojira I've been waiting for.

Wow, those yellow tyres really make that Bumblebee look like a poundstore knock off.

The Grimlock is hugely improved with the new colour scheme and the only one of the RID figures I'd be even remotely interested in buying (though the dino mode looks bit too goofy)

I actually like the new Bumblebee, yellow tires and all. My one big problem with Bumblebee toys is that he is usually cast in a very pale yellow which tends to look cheap and which makes any lack of detailing very apparent. The color swap actually fixes that problem.

If I see him on sale, I'd consider grabbing him.

That's how the Dinobot mode looks in the show.

I think Green and black is better then the boring grey and gold colors that people love for whatever reason.

Grimlock's gold looks exactly like a common LEGO color called Pearl Gold. Just thought I'd bring that up.
Also not only are Bumblebee's sprues reversed, but his paint masks are too :lol:

Only in car mode. Surprisingly the new figure has a new pattern on his chest and they painted more of his upper arms than they did the original.

RID Sideswipe is up for pre order on HTS.

I know he's gotten some bad reviews, but I figured I would share anyway.

I saw him today at a random TRU and he does look really good in person. I didn't pick him up because of the negative press though. I do like his look (except the spikey hair) I'll wait for a sale and leave him in alt mode.

I did however pick up Jazz. :grin:

With exception of his hair I think he looks great and I dig his alt mode. I believe it was Chuck who said he doesn't stay together well in robot mode when moving his arms around.

He does have a neat way to store his sword on his back too. I was disappointed to hear he is all fiddly though. Well if the price is right, money talks.

Why the hell aren't we getting any new waves or toys yet? (Apart from Warrior Class Sideswipe ect...& then some bloody repaints of figures we've already had!) coz i've watched nearly all(bar the final episode....still waiting for that one) of season 1...& there's lots of characters in those episodes that we haven't heard of the toy release for yet...like Filch, Springload, Nightscream, Groundpounder, Quillfire, Bisk, Chop Shop, Octopunch, Terrashock, Ped, Hammerstrike, Malodor, Vertebreak, Headlock and Razorpaw.

Ah right, sorry, my bad, thought there were only 21, but enough episodes have passed that there should be MORE toy releases of those characters featured in them by now! & we're still stuck with the same bloody figures that are by now just shelfwarming, they need to get their finger out & release more new ones! coz let's face it....we're now into June....& we still haven't even got the minicon deployers yet! as seen at the Toyfair, so let's hope new figures start arriving soon.

Ok another example....take Bisk for instance.....now he was featured in a very early episode.....and most of the robots(bar maybe one or two...including Bisk) have been released in toy form! so why the hell wasn't Bisk released along with the other figures that were? at the time.

I gots a very thread hijacky question for ya. Have you ever considered leaving out the transformation in your video reviews or is there a demand for them?

I ask because I saw a little talk about either watching them or skipping them on the CW thread. I've made mention of it myself on the Devastator thread. I personally feel that it spoils/ruins the fun/surprise. Some people use them as instructions and some people feel the same way as I do. I still watch the videos to see both modes and I want general impressions.

It's just something that has came up recently and I was curious what you thought or the feedback you get.

Sorry Chuck! There came a time when I kept tabs on lots of reviewers (but hadn't seen your videos though), but got annoyed with all but two (Thew & Vangelus) because they were heavily influenced by 3P products and were just commercials to me. I'm once again subscribed to pretty much everyone (for news purposes) but still don't really watch anything. Lately it just seems like a time thing #-o
