As noted in the review there are inaccuracies from the movie character, to the box art which for this release uses Zeus’s stock art despite KSI Boss’s art being on file, to the actual figure - especially in regards to the antennas on the head sculpt, and KSI Boss’s pictured flail weapon on his left arm which is still just Zeus’s Gatling gun. Despite these differences there is no denying this looks like a much higher quality toy.
The paint applications follow the similar simplicity of the knight motif such as Cogman and Last Knight Megatron but with this effort we are treated to a deep grey accented by gold metallic and blue details. The paint which catapults this figure into a different class however is primarily dedicated to the front of the robot mode, with most of the back of the figure remaining unpainted. Also included is the Hong Kong pursuit background scaled to look appropriate for Voyagers.
The reviewer noted that for the third use of this mold (Nitro Zeus, Thundercracker, now KSI Boss) the joints appear to be very well put together and are quite tight. He also states the issue he’d had with his original Nitro Zeus’s thruster panels on his back coming off during transformation is no longer present.
This appears to be an overall touch up and improvement of the toy and not just a simple repaint which is always positive to hear. If anyone missed this on the original release and Thundercracker didn’t quite fill the bill here’s your chance. Let us know if you’ll be picking this one up or if it's a solid pass.
