Ty Chou who was at Botcon 2011 revealed some more information about the Transformers Universe MMO game on his DeviantArt page. People who went to the Transformers Universe booth at Botcon got to see standees of Prowl and Barricade in the Transformers Prime style. This will be the first universe to have these characters in the same series. These characters will be featured in the game but not in the show - for now.

He got to talking to the designer of Barricade who revealed a little info about the game.

This is what he told us about the game and the characters: In this game you WILL be able to design your own OCs INCLUDING FEMMES! However, there will only be car designs, no jet modes are offered. But they are already plotting out jet designs for version 2, in which they hope they can offer OC designs for both cars and jets.

As of right now, TF: Prime style Barricade and Prowl are not going to be in the cartoon series. But the designers of the game really WANT them to be. So maybe if we pester them enough. XD

Just so long as I can be a Dark Blue and Magenta 2006 Chrysler 300 SRT8, I'm good. Working mentally on his design, and I think using Animated Blurr as a base would work.

is this game only going to enable a prime styles/schemes for creating your personal bot.
cause i want to make one in movievese design schemes.

and it would be cool to see generation 1 meets, movieverse, meets prime, meets animated, meets alternators, meets RID, meets armada game. and the game is called transformers ''universe'', so why not? ... DARE I SAY WHY NOT!?

Well, Bumblebee in TFP uses his movie designs, and Optimus uses something similar to his movie design, so I don't see why not.

Assuming certain character names aren't locked out (Which I know for a fact some MMOs won't let you use certain names) then you'll have to get there fast because not everyone reading this news heard your call for dibs, and not everyone who did hear it is noble enough to let you take the name.

Not like I'm jotting down a list of everyone who calls dibs on a name just so I can swoop in and take it first.

Since SWTOR, TSW and Rift will be occupying my MMO time, this game looks like it'll be pretty questionable and don't even want to bother trying it out.

I'm very excited about this game and the OC creator. I saw a video of it during botcon and it looks really in depth so you really can make an original character

I also love the fact that the art team is doing all these characters in prime style. I can't wait to see more of them. Especially cause it kinda expands the Prime universe imo. I know when I say this, it probably won't ever happen, but with these designs I hope maybe Hasbro might make toys of some of them. I really like the upcoming prime toys and it would be so cool to get charcaters who weren't in the show (that Prowl kicks ass :KREMZEEK:

). I mean it happened with drift and the comics and a little for WFC. I can dream

Of course there will be toys of characters who weren't in the show. That's how it's been since G1.

hey, anyone remember back a few years when WOW let you send in your character design and they would send you back a figure? Could you just imagine if hasbro did this? I know they wont, but still. not only that, but im sure any bot you use the mold off of like bee or screamer, you could customise into your mmo character. so many possibilities!

Yes, but this isn't a toyline, it's a game. And I'm going to use all of the faulty roundabout logic at my disposal to justify that.

Actually, no, no gaps were bridged. The Universe fiction that does exist is mostly just G1 and Beast Era. And while the most recent toyline does reuse toys from numerous other toylines, translating all of that to fiction is an entirely different ballgame. Well, translating it to fiction well is an entirely different ballgame.

I wonder if we still can play as humans... that'd be great and add a huge amount of variety in gameplay experience.
