Seriously, why couldn't we have gotten this instead of the super crappy titan one from tr?

Issue #3 came out on the 5th. In its pages, this form was given the odd spelling of "Fortress Tiberious", when Kirk's Roman-based middle name is correctly spelled "Tiberius" like in this art.

With the way they designed it, it's really not practical to make a transforming toy of that that would be able to look like that. It's very cheaty and halfhearted, with only a general idea of what the altmode is supposed to look like (much like how Filmation and Sunbow would have most likely done it, heyo!), rather than trying to actually adhere to the physical dimensions of the Enterprise in a way that would make use of the ship's mass for a believable feasible conversion process.Hellscream9999 wrote:First-Aid wrote:This needs to happen. Should have named him Tiberius Maximus since, you know, he isn't a fortress in this form.

Seriously? That looks ridiculous and not in a good way. Like it would be a cheapo bootleg toy you'd find in some bargain basement store with an unimaginative series name like 'star formers' or... Never mind. Yeah, silly stuff...guess it fits with that comic though but just looks so uninspired.

I'm a huge trek fan and tbh am rather disappointed with this - the warp nacelles should be integrated better in the body for sure, though admittedly most design routes will end up in loads of kibble.
At least they're ships that transform into tf characters and not into human characters like the Star Wars ones.

That to me sounds way better. Personally I would have enjoyed seeing the Enterprise from the movies captained by Shatner but it's still cool no doubt.

It probably would have been "better designed" if they weren't trying to go for the Sunbow style which is, let's say "cheaty".

If someone can design the pieces, I can 3D print it.

This would have to be a parts former, even a third party company couldn't make this perfectly transform as pieces shorten magically in modes and parts look like they just get pulled off some where and put other places. To make this work as a concept, it would have been better if the bottom part of the enterprise formed the arms with the legs torso coming from the top part.

Remember when James T. Kirk's middle name of 'Tiberius' was revealed in the Star Trek movies? He seemed embarrassed by it.

Everyone here raving about how awesome this would be and how badly it needs to happen. But if they actually made this, everyone would jump on the hate train for it the same way they did with the Millennium falcon Chewy and Han Solo, so I don't wanna hear all this jibber jabber.

Question is for those who are both Trek and Transformers fans would be....which shelf....Transformers shelf or Star Trek shelf. Just saying....

I think the big difference here is that it wasn't made to try to look like James Kirk or Spock. They did kind of screw up the appearances of the Han Solo/Chewy MF transformer, but they did what they could with the source material. With SWTF, the alt modes were already set and they had to fit the mech mode to it. WIth normal TF, there is some room to tweak and shape the alt modes based on the needs of the bot mode- there is no "set alt mode".

True, I can see some of the difference there. I guess picky TF fans just get on my nerves some times
