Simone Maganuco, also known as Seibertron.com member Yellow Camaro is one of the few who can fit the description above. After becoming a Dinobot fan at the age of 4, Transformers helped initiate his curiosity in meat eating Dinosaurs. 27 years later, Simone is a Vertebrate Palaeontologist. He's able to put his interest of Transformers and his job together.
Now what does this mean for us?
Like many of us here on Seibertron.com, Simone watched the Transformers Live Movies directed by Michael Bay. After seeing the movies, he was inspired to get a movie version of Grimlock done. Together with 3D Graphic Artist Sergio Rocco, they've done just that. Instead of the usual fleshed out robotic Grimlock that we're used to seeing, Simone thought it would be better if Movieverse Grimlock was based off a skeleton. Now together, they're here to show us their results. When the staff of Seibertron.com first saw the images, we were so mind blown that we just had to share this with everyone. Let's just say that this version of Grimlock would look mighty fine in Transformers 3. See Grimlock in all of it's glory below.

Sergio Rocco's website can be found here. If you have any Transformers related work, whether it be customized toys, pictures, or the occasional fan-fiction, feel free to post it in the Transtopia Forums!

That's just how I had thought his backstory could be!
Wow!

That is some beautiful (fan?)art. It looks kinda technoganic-esque. Like if someone made a live-action Beast Machines, or something.
In addition to G1 Grimlock influences, I'm also seeing some slight resemblances to the Dino knight/Dinosoldier Dino Tyranno from Dinozaurs/Dinozone.

Also: I like how it kinda looks like those Dremora from Oblivion.

There won't be a toy because this is just some pretty wicked fan-art (sadly)

Don't get me wrong, it's an impressive work, but it just doesn't feel like a Dinobot (especially Grimlock), to me.
I'm just finding myself unimpressed by it on a movie level. As a fan work? AWESOME.

Only thing is, I'd hate to see this thing manufactured into an action figure, as it'd almost surely look sub-par to the movie CG.

But how does the top half of his head become his feet, while the jaw becomes the chest? LOL!

Awesome! I can't find other word to describe this work other than AWESOME!!!
I was impressed by his bio. Yes, it's fit to the movieverse and very fit to the personality of Grimlock.

I would like to personally thank everyone for your enthusiastic comments. And I want to thank all the Seibertron people for doing what you do and make this fansite so great. To me, this fansite is not a simply fansite, is a friend! So it is fantastic to share our work with you.
I am going to trace Sergio, he must know that we are on-line!
Thanks again, I'll come back soon!

And this is precisely why the Dinobots wouldn't work in the Bayverse.
Don't get me wrong, it's an impressive work, but it just doesn't feel like a Dinobot (especially Grimlock), to me.
I'm just finding myself unimpressed by it on a movie level. As a fan work? AWESOME.

Why can't Bay get THESE two guys to work for his design team?
i agree with both staements i tryied to imagine them like this it couldnt fit with then dinos universal studios maybe fan art superb but in the movie it says to me having the powerrangers megazord intertwine with the transfromers movie thats what this reminds me of or noght at the museum trex comes to life one or the other.
im glad bay doesnt want his movies to be more g1 than his version only if was more to the g1 series we might have had the dinobots in there and wheelie would be talking rhime it would be more cartoon than realsim from this trilogy but who knows maybe may add them as differn alterante modes shown transformers war within grimlock tank, swoop some type of jet

I'm actually kinda glad this is not in Bay's sights, honestly. He's publicly stated he hates the Dinos, and you know he'd cook up some 'enemy scrotum' humor just for them.
Which would fill me with Teh RAEG.

HK, do not fill me with Teh RAEG.

Excellent work on this. My kids will be blown away when I show them these pics.

AS crappy as the last movie was, this would completely make Transformers jump the shark

Yeah, well I wish someone would turn "Fan Art" to "Real Toy"
I am not even in 8th grade and I seem to be a party pooper

Though Michael Bay would probably take that design, give it a ridiculous accent, and have it spend most of the movie offscreen...
Posted by zenosaurus_x on February 8th, 2010 @ 8:20pm CST
The only thing is:I was under the impression the movie TF's would have hand pop out blades, that would've gone great with GrimLock.
He looks really organic though..which is awesome but gives him a look like the seven Primes.
It doesn't matter, this is awesome.

Also, the "crown" is a great nod to G1 Marvel Grimlock!
