They passed on NEST Bumblebee and kept this? I mean, I was able to get a cool looking gray Bumblebee without having to visit a theme park, but what were they thinking?

So is this the upcoming SS90, on an actual rerelease of a toy from 2011? If it's the former, odd that it dosen't reference SS anywhere even as the pret Universal Studios exclusives did.

No, that was leaked a while ago. This is just a thing for their theme parks.

This is just a rerelease in new packaging.
Also, isn't SS90 Galvatron?

They could have at least tried some odd deco with exclusive accessories or something.
What's the point in jumping through hoops to get this "exclusive"?

Thanks. Kind of odd to randomly release an 11 year old toy, but ok. Also you are correct. I was looking at the TT numbers where DotM Bee is 90, but for Hasbro North America it is 87.

Is this figure available at Universal's Citywalk stores, or only inside the parks? Because i might swing by the citywalk this weekend to pick one up if it is available there

Reminds me of when they were still selling Kreons for a long while after the brand was discontinued.
Can't believe they're still pumping this old yeller out!

Wait.
That's not a SS but the original DOTM complete with Mechtech weapon...
I can't believe that this could almost be considered a "vintage" reissue.

Pass. Like I didn't have enough Bumblebee already? Particularly Bayverse?

I would understand the snark for THIS particular Bee.
It was overproduced at the time and The H8ve clogged the pegs for a long time. Especially because there was as much Prime Bees too.

Yup, it's the complete, original and unaltered figure from 2011.
Which is...incredibly baffling considering we're going to get a SS figure...based off of his look from DotM. Does Universal have exclusive rights to keep producing this figure or something?

is nobody even going to comment anything about the packaging saying REVENGE OF THE FALLEN instead of DARK OF THE MOON?

I think it's because the Ride itself is largely based off of Revenge of the Fallen.
It's a bit of a hodge podge in general but it has Ravage and Devastator, both of whom were not in DotM due to dying in RotF.

"Mechtech" stunk as a gimmick when they first did it, and it still stinks today

for some cynical reason I want a DOTM bumblebee, didn't think they'd reissue one.

Love that packaging! It looks so cool!
Though the packaging is new, Universal reissuing the figure isn’t - they’ve had the figure available in different packaging since the ride opened.

I see a lot of confusion here, but not everyone has the full picture.
This is a Bumblebee toy that Universal wants in their theme parks at all times. It sells. When they run out, they order a new run (or ask for a reissue from Hasbro, depending on how you want to say it) and so we get different packaging.
Here is that same figure in different packaging throughout the years.

To be fair, it's a great Bumblebee figure and a great toy to get if your kid is interested in Transformers after the ride.

Yeah, guys, the Universal Studios line doesn't update its toys. It started with DOTM molds, and it continues to be the DOTM molds even all these years later. Universal doesn't want to change out the toys because those toys are the faces of the Universal Studios line.
They may shake things up every once in a while like with the silver DOTM Snarl exclusive or the Studio Series As Seen In Parks Megatron exclusive, but the DOTM Deluxe MechTech molds of Optimus and Bumblebee are the Optimus and Bumblebee that were available when the Universal Studios line first began, and continue to be the Optimus and Bumblebee that Universal wants to keep selling at the stores in their parks.

Oh goodie.. yet another Camaro Bumblebee.. what's the count now, 42? Bumblebee sucked in the original cartoon, and he sucks in the Bay movies
