Rumours have goon back and forth over this but TFW2005 have posted a news bit from the latest Ages Three and Up newsletter, 'confirming' that the upcoming Kiss Convoy figure will be done in diecast metal. The following is the exact quote from the newsletter:

Another rising concern on preorders is the Convoy and Melissa figure. There has been talk of this being a plastic version of the Alternators Prime figure. I have received confirmation from Takara that is WILL be a part of the Binaltech line and will be done in Die-Cast. Images that have been shown to date are of prototype paint and was all done on an Alternators version of this figure. The final product will be done in Binaltech style.
