IESB.net caught up with Tom DeSanto at the 32nd Annual Saturn Awards to support Ringers: Lord of the Fans. Amoungst other things, DeSanto was asked a few questions regarding the Transformers movie. You can view the six minute clip on their website.
"We start shooting in three more weeks. So I think there is going to be a rapid fire announcement very rapidly coming your way. And there should be an announcement, I heard through the trades, that the announcement of Jon Voight being signed should be heading to the trades tomorrow"
"Don [Murphy] was the new guy. But Don had the passion for the original voices. And he won me over! So I am supporting the original voice actors. You know, [Peter] Cullen and [Frank] Welker should be... They're the reason that people empathize with those characters. And you don't care about Megatron or Optimus Prime in alot of the other incarnations as much as you do as when those actors were voicing those parts"
