Video review of Chainsaw Thrash Vehicon and High Octane Bumblebee Power Attackers

Posted by Seibertron Feb 23, 2015 at 2:34pm CST 40,359 views
After posting our galleries of the recently released Power Attackers Chainsaw Thrash Vehicon and High Octane Bumblebee figures from Hasbro's Transformers Age of Extinction line yesterday, we received several requests for a video review demonstrating the articulation of these figures. Unfortunately, due to their gimmicks both figures suffer from a lack of articulation. If you're at all familiar with the Power Attackers (or Power Battlers depending on who you ask and what day it is), then you know what you're getting with these figures. Check out our video review below on Seibertron.com's YouTube channel.

After you've watched our video review, make sure you check out their respective galleries by clicking on the images below.

kinda disappointed he has no knees but I can live with it.

Local Motors is an actual company that makes Rally Fighters and is not a fictional company.

That vehicon is a beauty! If I ever see it in store, it's an instant buy. Even at full price.

That's ok the logo does look out of place and kinda fake on the toy.

But regardless this is a really good review and I personally think your voice is cool.

Seibertron, you should do more video reviews often. However, the introduction didn't really fit the video.

"Chainsaw Thrash." That is the most metal name for a Transformer ever. Or maybe Grindcore...

Check out Jay Leno's Garage on Youtube, he has an episode with an in-depth look at and drive of a Rally Fighter. So very cool.

Are you talking about Vehicon and High Octane Bumblebee? If so, I purchased a few cases from Entertainment Earth.

Seibertron.com is proud to present our newest gallery:

Age Of Extinction Power Attackers Claw Crush Junkheap

Remember Dark Of The Moon? (Of course you do!) Remember the scene when the Decepticons make their appearance in D.C. and everyone wanted that awesome Waste Management garbage truck bot? (It was quite cool, actually.) Well, sadly we didn't get one then, but we're finally getting one now! In a special arrangement with Waste Management, Hasbro has been given the rights to affix the WM company logo on a Decepticon figure and that figure is Power Attackers Junkheap! A few years late, but better late than never, eh?

A different take on the Waste Management garbage truck bot was used in Age Of Extinction, they were created by KSI and the three components formed the garbage truck, in the film and they had an on screen appearance lasting less than 10 seconds. (Sadly.) So, the figure we've been waiting for is actually based off of one component of a three bot vehicle.

Sadly, he's packed one to a case and that case is part of the final assortment of Age Of Extinction figures, so chances are that most retailers probably won't be carrying this assortment of figures, meaning both Junkheap and his wave mate Vehicon (which you can see, here) are going to be extremely difficult to find, and even more so for a good price.

While you search for this guy (and Vehicon), take a moment to check out his gallery here on Seibertron.com and check back tomorrow for our exclusive video review of the figure, so you can see his Claw Crush gimmick in action! We will be posting the review on our front page, so make sure to come back!

Without further ado, click on any of the images below to see the full gallery:

That DOTM guy wasn't Junkheap. Junkheap was one of the KSI robots in AOE, only in the movie, he was a Reflector-esque guy with three robot mode guys that fused into one garbage truck altmode. Since the toy didn't do that, its robot mode is based on the green component:

Please re-read what I posted, originally. I never said Junkheap and the DOTM bot were one and the same. I bolded and italicised the line above so you can read it clearly.

*A* Decepticon figure, not THE DOTM bot. Big difference.

We've posted the Seibertron.com galleries for the sadly badly released (if at all) Age of Extinction Power Attacker Claw Crush Junkheap just the other day - so why not double-dip, and take a look at the embedded video review below, courtesy of our very own site owner Seibertron? Includes comparisons to the other figures in the line (such as Bumblebee and Vehicon Power Attackers), various Voyagers and Deluxes; check it out!

Vehicon and Junkheap mainly, Bumblebee would be a nice bonus.

This is a blast (hah!) from the past, as we bring you yet another, nay, three other updates to the Seibertron.com movieverse galleries - specifically, Transformers: Age of Extinction and the Takara Tomy counterpart, Movie Advance!

The images below will take you to the definitely not Tracks figure we just saw in our latest post, Generations Hot Shot - a redeco of main cast member with a cape/trenchcoat Crosshairs. And moving back to the green bots, we have the Hasbro and Takara versions of the deluxe stegosaurus Dinobot with translucent green ..bits - Snarl. See if you can spot all the differences in colour scheme by checking out the pics right here.

You had ONE JOB Takara, color in the fake head. But did you? Noo, instead we paid an extra 20$ for a slightly shinier finish and no actual extra paint apps. What, me? Bitter?

I really like that Snarl figure. All that lime margarita (or urine champaign) clear plastic is intoxicating for me to look at when the light catches it right and highlights all the details.
