i wonder if the will retool the chest area for a hammerhead mold
looks cool though. although i do not think cybershark was a figure screaming to be remade.

Not bad. To me, the original is one of the best molds from the entire Beast Wars line, but this one is cool too. I hope they repaint it into a Maximal or Predacon, I don´t care what character they use.

After watching the video I changed my preorder on BBTS to just Roadbuster. Something tells me this figure will sit for a bit and if it gets repainted into Cybershark I'll jump on that one instead.

I think you might be misjudging the situation. Sky-Byte as a character seems to be remembered pretty fondly, and unless they changed the case assortment, there's only one of him to every two Roadbusters (with a Springer filling the last slot), so he may go faster than you think.

You're right but I really have no connection to it and the next two months are going to be BIG in terms of stuff coming.

Fair enough, and you're entitled to your opinion, I'm just pointing out that plenty of people feel differently. Plus after your first post I thought you were kinda interested in Sky-Byte but putting it off, rather than just not interested. So, um, just pretend this conversation never happened?

Nah it's cool, I'm interested in the "Oh, a new Transformer" vein rather than the "This was my favorite character growing up!" vein. I also was reading a lot of disappointed posts on Twitter. Eh, if I get it, I get it. If not, no loss

Sky-Byte and Roadbuster turned up today whilst I was out so will be opening them tomorrow!
Looking forward to both of these sooo much! Sucks having to import almost all the Generations stuff to the UK.

I'm really anticipating this fig. Even with the flaws in bot mode. Which for me are mostly with the articulation and less with the gaps and holes.

Just opened them both, Sky-Bite I actually really like the fact you can flip his nose in beast mode to reveal the predacon symbol making it look like a light/torch is hilarious and you know if he was in a show now they would actually do that
The biggest surprise I had was with Roadbuster as he had an alternate sticker to replace his Autobot symbol with the Botcon Wreckers blue symbol
I can see a few people buying two if these for just that purpose, one for the Neo-G1 collection and one for the Wreckers

Heres the sticker sheet and a size check with Gelshak and Sharpedge who I happened to have near b.
Sadly Cybershark, TM Cybershark, Sharkticon Megatron and Gnaw were in the other room or would have had put together a proper TF proper Sharknado moment. Actually that is what I will be entering as my art for Botcon for next year, made of awesome.

Why in blue blazes did they pose the shark mode in a permanent nosedive?

Sky-Byte is happy
His own mold, not a repaint
Being well-loved rules

Guess Hasbro thinks that it makes him more like a shark despite the fact that he is a shark that converts into a robot.
And back again!

I'm not keen on Skybite (puts tin hat on), hollow parts and to much kibble just killed it for me.
