Video Review of Transformers Cyberverse Warrior Class Soundwave

Posted by ZeroWolf Jan 23, 2019 at 9:58am CST 20,642 views
Thanks to fellow Seibertron user, Chuckdawg1999, (and thanks to fellow Seibertron user What's Crackin? for letting us know as well!) we now have a review of Transformers Cyberverse Warrior Class Soundwave! This figure's gimmick is that pressing the button on his shoulder causes Lazerbeak to fly out of Soundwaves chest! Note however that Lazerbeak is not detachable.

Here's a snippet of Chucks thoughts on the figure:

Chuckdawg1999 wrote:The Warrior Class from the Cyberverse line has been hit or miss, mostly miss. Soundwave benefits from a gimmick that isn't tied to a limb or something more intrusive. Yes it's still a simplified figure, and it doesn't have the articulation most collectors would want, but it's an overall good figure that I feel a lot of fans and collectors would be satisfied with.

We have embedded the video below for your convenience:

Sticking with Transformers Cyberverse for this news as we have word that Amazon now have the Action Attackers Ultimate Class Bumblebee in stock and ready to buy for $29.99! This toy converts fully from Robot to Car and has a spring loaded gimmick in its left arm to replicate Bee's stingers from the cartoon. The gimmick can also be used in vehicle mode.

Hmm. Deciding whether I should order Slipstream from there or wait to find it in the stores. Shouldn't take too long for it to be available here.

Fellow Seibertronian chuckdawg1999 has a review up for Transformers Cyberverse warrior Hot Rod. Here you will see what the articulation is, which has been a very detrimental factor for fans regarding this line. You will also see the gimmick in full display.

chuckdawg1999 wrote:Hot Rod is an ok figure but I think a lot of collectors and fans are going to find it lacking. The flame gimmick is ok but it really doesn't do much and doesn't look to have any offensive purpose. Transformation is fun but there isn't a stand out wow moment. I think only fans of the character will really want the toy.

I guess we'll have to wait for the WFC trilogy for another good Hot Rod.

Hot Rod was this close to being good. The action feature makes no sense, but the transformation is easy and fun. If the car mode's grille wasn't an empty hole it might have tipped it over the edge.

Poor Warrior Class, it was so great (most of the time) during RiD.

I think we have plenty of Hot Rods to hold us over for a good while, with the 2 MP releases, deluxe, and POTP rdimus, plus the recent G1 reissue and MP 09 Reissue. I think we are good.

This line is geared more towards children with how simplistic they are in transformation and paint application or lack of. I wouldn't expect greatness from this line. Best Hot Rod we've gotten IMO is MP and Titans Return and far as officially licensed goes. I do hope WFC siege gives us a really good one :rodimusstar:

Thanks to fellow collector Scottimus Prime, we have confirmation that Cyberverse Ultimate Class Bumblebee is starting to find its way into stores in the US! Found at a Walmart in Long Island, New York (Commack CDP), the figure was priced at the standard $28.84.

Bumblebee is the only Ultimate Class figure slated for this wave, there are still a sizable amount of figures to come in all other size classes (save One-Step Changers). If you are lucky enough to find any of these, or any other upcoming figures in other lines, let us know in your area’s sighting forum.

Best of luck, and happy hunting!

Thanks to fellow Seibertronian What’s Crackin’?, we now have a thorough video review of Cyberverse Warrior-Class Prowl. The review comes courtesy of Youtuber Long’s Toys, who goes into great detail regarding the figure’s features in both modes, transformation and articulation, of which he points out a potentially one-off minor issue regarding the figure’s shoulder. Long’s Toys also has a review for Prowl’s wavemate Soundwave, so be sure to check that out if you’re interested.

Check out the full review, and be sure to let us know what you think in the forums below. As always, be sure to let us know if you happen be lucky enough to find Prowl or any of his wavemates in your area's sighting forum.

Funny story to share involving this figure...

Any collector that's been collecting awhile has no doubt seen the less than ethical practice of someone buying something, then they return the package with something else in it. There people obviously take advantage of those clerks that have little to no clue what they are taking back...

I have seen build a figure parts missing with the figure still there, I have seen a totally different toy stuck in the package (my fav was some pull back racers that were $1 in some Transformers Prime packages at TRU...ahhh, memories).

Anyways, I was at Wal-Mart doing my weekly toy hunt during lunch and low and behold, NEW Cyberverse stuff. With the exception of Acid Storm (not the greatest) I have pretty much overlooked the Cyberverse line... Nothing holds a candle to Prime (show or toys to me). Well I saw Prowl's package, but my brain stopped... Had to process what I was seeing... Cyberverse Prowl package, and Prowl was in it, but it was TFA Samurai Prowl!! :HEADHURTS: :michaelbay:

While I already have him, I just stood there and stared for a minute. Finally my hand just shot out and grabbed it... $15 for a figure that goes $40-100 online? WTH not.I got it home, opened it and whoever did it even threw the instructions in it. Who does that? :BANG_HEAD:

To this day I am stumped... Surely, the person that wanted Cyberverse Prowl and owned TFA Samurai Prowl knew what he was?? Were they being generous? Were they a total idiot?? Who knows... The moral of the story?

Cybeverse Prowl was spotted... Kinda... in the wild lol.

Seibertron's own chuckdawg1999 has provided us with a review of the new One-Step Action Attackers Megatron figure - featuring the transformation, the figure's 'firing' gimmick and the range of limited articulation. The review also compares the figure to the previous One-Step Megatron, citing the (relatively minor) differences in packaging to make sure viewers don't get caught out and purchase the wrong toy. The video is embedded below for ease of viewing.

chuckdawg1999 wrote:In what can be considered the natural evolution of One Step changers, Action Attackers feature the same simplified transformations but with the bonus of a weapon feature. Megatron features a firing Fusion cannon naturally and a robot mode that is closer to the show model than the previous One Step Megatron release. Ultimately there's nothing I can say that will steer most collectors towards this line but if you're looking to try something fun and simple, you can't go wrong with this line.

Has this review sparked an interest in the One-Step toys or are they still a miss step? Let us know in the Cyberverse discussion here on Seibertron.com.
