Greetings Seibertronians! With the Transformers Earthrise Target Exclusive Thundercracker and Skywarp set slowly trickling out to stores across the USA (and to third party websites across the globe), it makes sense that more and more reviews will pop up. Such as this video review by fellow Seibertron user, Chuckdawg1999. Check out his thoughts and review below.

chuckdawg1999 wrote:Thundercracker and Skywarp complete the classic Seeker trio for the Earthrise line. Both Thundercracker and Skywarp feature new faces that are different from Starscream. I'm pleased that the duo came early in the line and will be relatively easy to get. Highly recommended.

Greetings Seibertronians! Thanks to PrimalFury over at TFW2005, who seems to have gotten Earthrise Titan Class Scorponok early, we have some additional in hand images of Scorponok, though they are a little... Unconventional.

The first pictures shows off a fan mode that may be of interest to fans of Super God Masterforce, as PrimalFury turns Scorponok into the mode Black Zarak uses, as seen in the last episode of Masterforce!

The next set of pictures, PrimalFury has some fun and shows the cross compatiblity of putting Scorponok's head on Fortress Maximus's body, and welding both the Master Sword and the MegaZarak Shield.

Looking forward to getting this titan? Think the fan mode is a nod to something coming out down the line? Let us know in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!

For those wanting to eventually try their own attempt at Dakatsu Mode, here are some additional reference pics:

The ER Scorponok mold stowing the scorpion legs does wonders for that mode.

Shoulders could do with the ability to raise up on top of the body but it wouldnt be a stretch for Takara to reengineer a titan. Black Zaraks one of those things I'd have to get with the original toy being so hard to get and gold cosmic rust. Would have been nice if the encore Knock offers had done him (and would have been nice for Takara to have done enocre Metrotitan :( ).

I really like the Titan mode Headsculpt that Scorponok has, something about it looks amazing in quality/build.

I just finished watching "The Headmasters" and it's got me super stoked for this toy. Each new image makes me want to buy it even more! Too bad I don't have that much cash to burn... :(

If you imagine the large orange circles at the wrists as eyes, they give the Dakatsu mode pretty freaky looking heads.

This guy looks like he's a quick hop away from being redecoed into BlackZarak. Really the only physical differences would be the head/face, I'm wondering if it would retool Scorp's existing head, or they would do what Masterforce did and give him a new, non-headmaster face.

I mean if we can get Brave Maximus, there's no reason to believe we wont be seeing BlackZarak. Besides, who could deny that it would look freakin epic? That black, red, and chromed gold...

Also we saw the sword-thing mode on Fasttrack, so that boxset could include a nice gold Black Roritchi.

That would be Titan pretooling's trial by fire. Devastator's already confirmed to have alternate parts, in his case alternate faces resembling the RiD 2001 Build Team plus two Double Targetmasters to fill in the ranks, so the foresight is already there. Scorponok having alternate parts to turn him into Black Zarak isn't that much of a stretch.

Wait did I miss something? Are we getting a new Devastator? Or are you talking about a retool of CW Devy to resemble the Rid2001 Build Team?

But also yes, not much of a stretch at all. I was worried that the Hasbro/Takara consistency merger would rob us of exclusives referencing the Japanese G1, but so far I'm glad that's not totally the case. I mean we got a confirmed, complete God Neptune much sooner than any of us thought.

It's very common for molds to have alternate, gang-molded parts that can be switched out, something Selects makes full use of. CW Devastator has them as I described them (RiD 2001 Build Team plus Scoop and Quickmix, merge into RiD 2001 Landfill), but they ultimately went unused.

Wait, so if they had actually used thoae pretooled heads for Devy... we would have gotten 2 different toys of Scoop in like 3 years?????

Yep. Those alternate heads exist, but never got used. Hasbro actually once offered them to Fun Pub to use, but Fun Pub didn't use them because they honestly thought Hasbro was gonna use them. Thus, neither group ended up using them.

What if the next Selects combiner was Landfill?

Back to a possible Black Zarak, I wonder how Hasbro would pull it off. I mean, we can assume the parts are designed, we don't know what kind tho: alternate parts for the mid-stage, or a ginormous helmet like the original.

Probably alternate parts for the Deluxe. I think the transformation scheme lends itself, for one thing, with the way the face cover moves.

Plus on the original Black Zarak the helmet was a case of trading one ginormous helmet for another (one which was obviously part of the same after-the-fact supplemental mold as the Tyrant Spear); with the ER mold, I think it would be simpler to pretool the Black Zarak head as alternate parts for the Deluxe-size head.

It certainly shines a light on how some people seem to have advance knowledge of something being available before "walk-ins" ever do.

I do hope they create Black Zarak, although I'm betting they'll call him Dark Zarak.
I think a little work on the claws could make them a little more dragon head like and work a little better then the original version's claws. I would hope they keep the head a headmaster just for the fun of it.

pics are up on tfw2005 of earthrise 2nd wave in packaging/product shots.

Smokescreens feet are that hollow they dont have a 5mm port on the bottom but look to have some holey heel boxes that might be able to rotate.

Arcees box art is kinda misleading , if you take the hover board of her back there is no way the remainder is anywhere near the creative box art.
