Transformers Authentics bravo class Arcee has been found t Dollar General locations in the US since the begining of June. In case you saw it and were not sure if it was worth your hard earned coin or not, we have 2 video reviews for you below. One is from Alex Reynard and the other from Chuck, who also writes about the toy, enjoy!

chuckdawg1999 wrote:Authentics Arcee is a mixed bag. On the one hand, it's a neat figure that transforms without being a shell former, and it has some good articulation. On the other hand, due to the nature of Authentics, there are some tolerance issues with the legs and arms coming together, while the articulation could be a bit more functional. In general, the plastic doesn't feel as good as it could be. If you're looking for a simple Arcee then the Authentics version might be worth the look.

Amazing that this "G1" Arcee is the one with the less backpack.

I like the overall concept more than this particular execution of it, if that makes sense.

Really though, I think there's been enough G1 Arcees now. For a character that used to be famous for not having any toys there's a glut of them now.

I just got "deluxe" Shockwave and he's great! Decent posing, not much hollow spaces compared to the rest, and the transformation is simple yet effective.

Stock pictures show the spaceship flipped over. In the proper orientation, it's great!

Yup, pretty much. But instead of going full Exorcist, he just lay on his back and chill.

Looks a lot like the transformation of the Cyber Series Shockwave.

I like the Cyber Series version more than the Authentics.

Maybe some of you have see them in stores, but Hasbro has a line of Transformers toys aimed at people who want an affordable larger Transformer. This is the Titan Changer line under the Authentics umbrella and so far we have had G1 mainstays like Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee, ect. But now, we have our first Beast Wars character too, Optimus Primal. We have an image of the robot mode from The Entertainer website but not the alt mode. While obviously aimed at families on a budget, I'd advise against knocking on these as they do the job fine for kids interested in larger figures and are easy to transform back and forth. I speak from experience as a dad of a four year old who plays with these toys. And it's cool to see Primal get that status of reliable sellers within the TF brand, appealing to younger kids (and most importantly their parents buying the toy). We have also put images of the others in the line to show how the proportions are shared across the line.

Interestingly enough, while Primal will be a big part of the ROTB toyline and there are ROTB Titan Changers coming, this particular toy is not from that line. So we will get more of these soon, but looking more like their movie counterparts.

That Primal looks like a satyr with his thin proportion and his... HOOVES.
Only a set of horns is missing to complete the look.

Why do all the tit!n changers look like simplified cyberverse warrior class that was then upscale into a Voyager no changes, and stretched until it was leader height?

Primal is so skinnyIm sure his alt mode looks like a literal monkey

They all transform differently than the warrior toys.

Literal waste of plastic. Scores one less for the environment.

Unless it's one hundred percent recyclable..and then it is just a literal waste of time.

For YOU, maybe.
But for a little kid whose parents don't have much money for toys, it's perfect.

Agreed, I've seen this line move off shelves in the bargain shop near me. I'd say Hasbro succeeded in making a budget line

I'm sure the little kid would sacrifice leader size and skinny proportions for some elbow and knee bends.

You'd be surprised. Kids love those massive 5 poa (points of articulation) action figures. After all kids in the 80s did without toys with knees or elbows (unless transformation called for it)

I'll also add that they keep making those "Shampoo bottle" giant cheap figures of Marvel, Star Wars, and Transformers. They keep making them because they keep selling them.

As a small kid, I never liked "overarticulated" figures that end up like "spaghetti monsters" and I rather just go WHAM BAM BOOM! :michaelbay:

May I also point out that one of the more popular toy line ever in the world that still going strong to these days are Playmobil. No knees, no elbows, same style since 1975.

BTW, my earliest memories of an "action figure" are these little guys:

Would a tiny inexpensive Optimus Primal based off of the Kingdom mold interest you? Smol Monke anyone? Well, if that sounds fun, well we have some fun news for you. Below are images of the new Authentics toys released for 2023 in Taiwan. Optimus Prime, Optimus Primal and Bumblebee will be released at the Bravo size which is similar to core class, while a brand new larger Starscream along with a repacked Optimus Prime and Bumblebee will be available in Alpha class which is in between deluxe and voyager sized. For an idea of scale, you can check out the image of the boxes below. That Primal may be small and cheap but he does have a cute feature where his two guns can be used in his fists or as shoulder canons like in the cartoon. This is unrelated to the Rise of the Beasts film and serves more as a classic Optimus Primal made to be affordable for families shopping at places like Family Dollar. In Canada, these have been available at Canadian Tire.

We thank Zodiac1968340 who posted images here along with this post from CL Hobby.

It's funny how despite the whole point of Evergreen TFs being they can show up in ANY store with even the tiniest toy section, so many specific figures somehow end up being indigenous to just one chain, determined largely by country or even state/province.

Hope Primal comes Stateside, but if any Canadian Seibertronians want to trade for Authentics Arcee, just let me know and I'll find you one with the best paint job possible!

Really like Starscream, it's a better looking figure than the Bravo version with the flat cockpit. He really looks a lot like the control art, just needs some more colors.

Primal looks great, though the blue on his chest looks like it was done with a spray can, lots of over paint. I wonder if he's too big to stand next to the small Transmetal Primal released in Japan.

While I think it's weird this guy isn't seeing a Legacy release, I want him nonetheless. He'll look great next to my Core collection. I'm honestly hoping Hasbro keeps releasing characters in the Core class no matter the line, they're an excellent way to build up entire armies of figures when one can only afford the occasional larger figure.

This is one of the few authentics toys I can appreciate. Kids toys can be good, see! But one question, why does he have guns instead of swords? Thinking like a kid swords would be cooler because they are unique for tfs.

That's because his shoulder canons serves a dual purpose here. So no extra budget for the swords.

While the Authentics line is not covered heavily since it isn't part of any reveals and is not even meant for big box retailers, the Optimus Primal toy did interest fans since it works with the core class collection Hasbro has been setting up in the Generations lines. However, as you will see below, this is not a core class toy, size wise. It is between the core class and deluxe class, being almost as big as a Studio Series Bumblebee toy. We have two reviews below to give you a better look at the figure. We don't have more info regarding his availability since there is no set rule for where figures like these may end up or when they will show up in various markets.

From TF fan France who posted on Botposting.

Authentics bravo class Optimus Primal.
He's... actually pretty good. I expected this to be very hollow and weightless like the other ones from the same toyline, but no. It's the opposite.
He has a decent amount of articulation, NONE of the pieces have fallen off, he doesn't look very hollow except on his legs and a little on the arms, and he actually has weight.
The painting and sculpting are good.
The arms and legs can bend and because they're on a balljoint they can also swivel. The head can only look from side to side in robot mode and the gorilla head can only look up and down.
For the accessories he has two blasters which are stored on his back.
He unfortunately doesn't have his two swords.
I'd say it's a good Optimus Primal for those looking for cheap.
