This is worse than the bobble head prime. Call it culture shock if you want, but I seriously dont get whats running through their minds when they design this kinda stuff.

money would be my guess. It seems to me that these kitschy things sell well enough to justify them. Don't ask me why though.

Wonderfest gave us a look at the Bearbrick Age of Extinction Optimus Prime redeco , in robot mode, and now Japanese retailer CJ Mart bring us our first official images of the figure in both modes.
This toy from Takara Tomy and Medicom, uses the same mold as the first Be@rbrick Optimus Prime, but in a deco reminiscent of the live action movies, in particular Age of Extinction. It will be released this month.

Why does this thing even exist ? Is this the result of when Japanese toy designers drink too much sake ?

I will post this in other places too just so that people see it, but it turns out figures like these are super popular in Asia and Japan, as can be seen with them being among the top preorders on Japan exclusive sites:

That is the most stupid looking figure ever. Yeah I know, in Japan they like cute cuddly robots. But knowing that wont stop us from wondering why they like them...

These would be some much more enticing if they weren't absurdly expensive.

They could make little toilets that transform into prime, megs, bee, etc. and people will buy them.

These look really Mickey Mouse like. I'd hate to think what we'd be getting if Disney owned Transformers

It has been ages since we last heard about Medicom's Bearbrick Transformers figures - licensed transforming figures that change from bears to our favourite Cybertronians - now, two years later, we have images, pre-orders and estimated arrival dates (2nd quarter of 2017) for the three new characters: Age of Extinction (inorite) Optimus Prime, Nemesis Prime, and Starscream. Check them out below!
