Do you collect other toys besides Transformers? Maybe you've got a Masters of the Universe collection you'd like to show off, or maybe you like Thundercats, Voltron, G.I.Joe, Power Rangers, Star Wars, Wrestling, or any of the various comic book toy lines. Please keep the discussions here to non-Transformers toy lines.

Well since there are pegs for them it is good. After all what store will want empty pegs and shelves going into the holiday season.
Plus there are more waves to come, and with those will probably come refreshers of the previous waves.

Just read this about the movie...
According to reports posted at IGN.com and IESB.net, Stephen Sommers (The Mummy, The Mummy Returns, Van Helsing) is apparently not going to direct the upcoming G.I. Joe live-action film. Sommers reportedly wanted more money than Paramount was willing to pay. New rumors, however, have surfaced that Len Wiseman (Underworld, Live Free or Die Hard) may be in the running as a potential director for G.I. Joe.
IESB.net also reports that the film's producers are moving ahead with plans to make G.I. Joe more appealing to international audiences by including Action Man and a team that is "not exclusively American or British." IESB says the characters "will still be based from the original cartoons, toys and comics but with a globe-trotting flavor." Actor Jason Statham (The Transporter, Crank) is apparently the studio's first choice for playing Action Man in the film.
Editor's comment: Stay tuned as we continue to watch this potential train wreck.
Having Jason Statham involved intrigues me, but not as 'Action Man'. Make him Snake Eyes, make Jet Li Storm Shadow, and I'm in to see it...

Why not just do what they did for the toy line 25 years ago, call the movie Action Force internationally.

Probably don't want to lose/alienate the US audience either...although it sounds like it will be closer to an ACTION FORCE type of representation.

See this is what I was afraid of. If they're going to worry about offending people then don't make the movie. People don't like America or American themes then don't watch it. What are they going to call it in Japan, Microman?

Check Walmart, the one on 54 is selling the single figures at $4.88
I got to grab those 5 packs

LOL. I agree with you guys, if they don't want to "offend" overseas marketing, then don't call it GI Joe! For God's sake, leave well enough alone. I haven't seen the live-action Transformers movie, but the people I know who have seen it loved it. I wonder how well that 9-11 movie with Nicholas Cage (sorry, the name escapes me) did overseas?
What's next? Another "Masters of the Universe" live-action movie, but it can't be called that because it sounds a bit white-supremacist? Being that most of the MOTU characters are caucasian or crazy creatures...

Finally found some of these the other day.
Picked up:
2x Cobra 5 Pack
2x Carded Cobra Commander
2x Carded Storm Shadow
2x Cobra Officer
My OCD/Completist is kicking in on this line. I definitely see myself buying 2 of everything, one to open, one for MOSC. These will look great hanging on the wall next to my Star Wars OTC collection, and the transformers reissues.
Personally, I would love to see Hasbro do a "Vintage" collection of these like they did with Star Wars. A mock up of the original card, a reissue of the original ARAH figs, wrapped in a star case for $7.99 each. I'd be all over that.

Same here, except I would hate to see them do the parts subsitution they've done in the past. Like the Snake Eyes I that came with the DVD set of the animated debut... he has another figure's waist (Footloose maybe?) instead of his own, and it looks horrible. I think that same waist piece was used on him in another "reissue" as well. The Cobra Vipers (the original) have been re-released with the BATs' legs instead of their own, for some ungodly reason. Hasbro can't pull that kind of crap if they were to reissue the originals. I would love to get reissues, though... seeing the new figures (some being half-assed in design) really makes me wish I still had my original figures.

I haven't opened my Joes 5 pack yet, but I've got all my Cobras on my computer desk for the time being. I can't fathom why Destro does not have the double jointed knee. (Or Baroness and Scarlett, for that matter.) These new figures are alright, but Hasbro really needs to improve on their figure design. CC's "chrome dome" head is far too small for a human head to be underneath. He looks like a Clockwork Robot from Doctor Who when you take off his blue helmet

Well at my TRU they were loaded with GI Joe figures. By loaded I mean they had one each of the 5 packs and a loose V2 Cobra Commander who was opened and missing his gun. I'm glad I ordered these guys online.

Really?
Around here lately the only packs I have been able to find have been the Cobras.
I finally broke down and bought one yesterday.
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

Suppsoedly the Joe five pack is a little rarer than the Cobra. Supposedly the case is like 3 cobras to 1 joe or something like that.

TNI: You showed us two very cool figures at San Diego, Zartan and Serpentor. However, both figures seem to be missing something very important that the originals had, Zartan's Swamp Skier and Serpentor's Air Chariot. Can you tell us if there are any plans in motion to get people these two things for their figures in the near future?
Hasbro: Our first goal with the 2007 25th Anniversary line was to bring the most important GI Joe and Cobra characters out into the market. Now that we have accomplished that, we can start looking at gearing them up.
Most excellent.

I just hope the figures can fit in them properly... I've heard they have trouble sitting. Is this true?
At any rate, I'd love if they made a VAMP. Vehicle: Assault, Multi-Purpose FTW!

I was going to say they should release the armor I had as a kid but couldn't remember it's name. Turns out it's the Snake. Didn't they do a re-release of it about a year or tow ago for the Valor v. Venom line?
