I may be mistaken, but wasnt the first article on Seibertron about these figures stating that this was a general hasbro release ??? When did Takara come in the picture and Hasbro out the picture ??? These repaints remind me of something Hasbro would do similar to Skyfall, Banzai-tron, and the black repaint of Powerglide.

Wow, those went fast. Looks like they only have three Elite Guard Prowls left. Glad I got my pre-orders in early.

The first time we saw them was in a japanese Toy Fair preview where it was reported that they would be Tokyo Toy Fair releases. Hasbro may have done something similar, but this set was done to compliment or compete with the Botcon 2010 set.

I just bought Dreadwing and Smokescreen and Prowl from an ebay seller for $240 shipped total. I feel slightly better. I cancelled my preorders if anyone wants them.

There are some auction up on Ebay now that have Dreadwing and Smokescreen for about $170 Shipped. Price seems to be coming down a little.

His mind was blown away by how awesome dreadwing and smokescreen are. :BOOM:

I took it off and sent it back to funpub. It was missing some paint apps and the the horns had missing paint all together. Never transformed him till I got back from botcon.

I really really wanted them when I saw the pictures. I love Geetoo with a passion. But $200 before shipping for like $30 in toys? This is where we as fans should have an ephiphany and attempt to get the people that make exclusives to step down in price from "lol i troll u" to "somewhat expensive but reasonable". To put this in perspective, I could buy a hooker for $200 and have my way with her for the entire night. Or two overpriced chunks of plastic.
