Burn wrote:Here's an idea for a Platinum Set!
Troop building Junkions and Sweeps. No silly gimmicks like translucent plastic, just troop builders, a set people would actually be interested in instead of tacky reuses of old molds.

Mindmaster wrote:MemphisR56 wrote:More overuse of transparent plastic on what's bound to be another poorly priced platinum set. Why use a new Devcon head we've never seen before for this nonsense?
Whoever is thinking up these sets and deccos really needs to move onto a different toyline. Their heart is clearly not in it.
It's like a complete line of afterthoughts.
It's actually not the Devcon tooling. It actually looks like a whole new tooling, with Devcon's face but Scourge's head tube thing. Why even bother making a new head just for this set, who knows.

Y'know, when I heard the rumours of a cyclonus' armada set, and a junkion set, that was exactly what I was hoping it to be.
But instead we get this SHIZZLESNIT show

Ironically, I wonder if hasbro considered doing that (it would be cheap) but thought that we (consumers) would say that that was 'lazy' of them, and changed it at the last minute

Burn wrote:MemphisR56 wrote:Who actually wants to buy these?
Two types of people
Those who "gotta have them all" and those who missed out on previous releases.
Otherwise ... yeah, who wants to buy them? There's just no appeal, translucent plastic is NOT an appeal.
Va'al wrote:I keep track of everyone. Backwards.
There are atandarfs to maintain.

Or, option 3, people who want anything that deals with TF:TM 30th Anniversary...which is me..Mindmaster wrote:The latter being me. But agreed; translucent plastic only works for light piping. Imagine my discomfort when I realized BotCon 2014 Pounce and Wingspan had translucent hinges in their calves....

I refer you back to option 1: "Gotta have 'em all"
Va'al wrote:Deadput wrote:Actually I don't know my mother's name is Valerie so is Va'al actually my mother?
Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.
I agree that it's the same but not, so less "Pokémon: Gotta Catch 'Em All" and more "Dare! Dare to believe I'll buy the toys! They hold my future in their hands!"Deadput wrote:Except that it's not the same thing.MemphisR56 wrote:I refer you back to option 1: "Gotta have 'em all"itscramtastic wrote:Or, option 3, people who want anything that deals with TF:TM 30th Anniversary...which is me..
Wanting all of a specific thing is not the same as wanting everything.

Why not? I mean, its not a win for me, but why wouldnt it be a win for you? Or anyone?
Sabrblade wrote:Well, it being a Platinum release means that it's probably not gonna be any cheaper than getting the Takara original.
Not to mention that it's less show-accurate than the Takara original anyway.
