Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.

Yep, lorries. Those of you born outside the UK may not have this word but for us it's how we differentiate between the types of trucks that have four wheels and tailgates (those would be trucks) and the type of trucks that have many wheels and are designed specifically to pull trailers (those would be lorries).
I remember seeing the word "tractor-trailer" on G1 Motormaster's tech specs way back in the day and being like, oh what the hell is that? To me then (and still kind of now) a tractor is the thing you find on a farm and nothing else.amtm wrote:Diem wrote:#9: Lorries.

Growing up in the USA, the word I learned for this is tractor-trailer. That covers any type where there's a separable cab and trailer. Though usually we just say "truck" (or semi or 18-wheeler, depending).

Diem wrote:Scourge (and his repaints) may well be the last non-minicon Dragon that we'll see for a while in Transformers. The movie line has been eschewing beast modes for the most part, no Dragonformers are really iconic enough to be must-sees in Universe 3.0, and War For Cybertron probably won't include any characters that weren't introduced in 1984-1985. But if Scourge is the last dragon we'll see, we're going out on a high. This guy is huge, imposing and fierce-looking. In the storyline he was the ruler of a planet where authority was decided by physical strength and he sure looks the part. With his huge axe, his fangs and his extra heads, he ensures that the legend..will never die.
That's it for dragons. Next time, we'll be taking to the skies. See you then!
Sabrblade wrote:There was a thread awhile back that suspected that the cockpits and windshields were the TF's means of seeing when in altmode.
This idea is supported by a G1 episode in which the Seekers were "blinded" by smoke covering their cockpits, causing them to panic and crash.
Erm, well, the episode I was referring to was "Auto Berserk", in which Smokescreen blinded the Seekers. But that works too, I guess.vectorA3 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:There was a thread awhile back that suspected that the cockpits and windshields were the TF's means of seeing when in altmode.

Haha, I had waited too long to open my email/notification on this thread, but I'm glad i did today because I watched a G1 episode. The episode was "Masquerade" and in it the autobots disguised themselves as Stunticons. Anyway, during one of the fights earlier in the show, Tracks or Grapple put smoke over one of the Stunticons' windshields and he said "Hey!! I can't see!!!"

Sabrblade wrote:That's the Australian Blu-Ray. There is no U.S. Blu-Ray of the movie. There is only a UK Blu-Ray and an Australian Blu-Ray.
vectorA3 wrote:It's ok. I still find it weird that there's a US blu for GI Joe The Movie and not for TFTM.
