Hey everyone! First post here and happy to see people still talking about the 2007 movie line. I currently own the 07 collection from ultimate, premium, ultra, leader, voyager, deluxe, scout, legends, real gear robots, screen battles, and titanium figures. I guess im somewhat of a completionist dont have the fab or the takara versions of real gear robots (with different pictures than hasbro), if someone has the real gear robots to sell please let me know...

Sad to say, only one thats out the package is the takara premium version of Optimus Prime with the chrome accents. Used for display and I love it! (might be a lil biased as I work in the transportation field, lol)

Tho I dont have too much familarity transforming these figures, the takara protoforms in blue and orange and the real gear robots are by far my favorite. Love the wonderfest arcee, metallic voyager class figures ratchet, megatron, deep space starscream and robovision prime as well as the battle damaged prime.

The worst figure, (looks wise) and a few may not agree, is the legendary "pink" starscream. overpriced and not really much of an eyecatcher and an example of how repaints can either help or severly hurt a mold. thats just my honest opinion.

I know this is a bit off topic but a few members did mention they had trouble selling their figures. I personally was thinking of selling my entire collection but fear i will only be breaking up the complete set and be left with figures that no one wants. 3 years to complete the set and that tsutaya metallic legends bumblebee i thought i would never own.

I personally think the 2007 line was good for transformers figures in general. It was nice to see ACTUAL licensed vehicles being used to create the figures. And tho i agree, bumbleebee was WAAAAAAAAAY overproduced, repainted etc, you all know everytime you see a yellow chevy camaro on the streets you think of bumblebee!

I agree that the Vardia Pink Starscream is a bit overrated.. but man, It's tempting me to buy it...

Haha, it's hard for me to realize that since it was a $600-700 toy when it was released originally. Crazy how something can crash like that.

I got myself a out of box salvage after reading this review. I wanted it since it came out but for some reason just kept passing on it. I found a loose dropkick a year ago though, but it did not come with the claw and the seller insisted it was complete Obviously i passed as i like my TFs complete.

But salvage is really nice! i finally get to own it after 4 years of wanting it

I just received 2007 Arcee in the mail.
I'm... loving this figure. She is Elita-1 in my collection (soon to remove the "RC" paint)
Its, in a word, sexy. All the complaints i've read in reviews somehow fall away after being able to pose her right. Her tail doesn't jut out. Her "wings" look hot.
Whats probably the most compelling part is that her face! actually! works! I love the hair style deal, as well as the eyes being more narrow, and more provocative in that way.
Pictures really don't do this figure justice. As a huge fan of fembots, I love this figure, and if it wasn't for this thread, I probably wouldn't have given it a second shot.

(P.S. I imagine her using the semi circle wing-wheel halves to create magnetic fields, as they spin in her bot mode. Bots better watch where they point their pistols, or they might lose 'em )

There's another little collection of figures in the 2007 movie line that I really like - the Real Gears. Maybe it's just me, but I think these figs are great; great robot modes, great transformations, great alt modes, great G1 homages (most notably Lazerbeak and Reflector), and just all round...great! It took me a while to get into the bayverse aesthetic (and it still grates on me from time to time) so these figures which were designed to be part of the Cybertron line were a refreshing change, and I just really like them a lot, particularly Spy Shot, Longview and Meantime, who despite transforming into a wristwatch is genuinely one of the evilest looking Decepticons ever.

Also I've already said this but I keep remembering how awesome dropkick is.
