Cheers for that. Shouldn't be too hard to keep £80 sat in the bottom of my account. Anyone else wondering if the Bludgeon and Thunderwing are going to look anything like the IDW interpretations?

If anyone wants to take a look at the Master Grade Zeta Gundam 2.0 (http://www.dalong.net), its a fantastic model kit that transforms better then any transformer toy, and I include masterpieces in that.

My Friend I give you...

Also I have that Gundam, and have been a long standing fan of the mod job you did there!

Thanks for the Props, man. There'll be more Customs as soon as I start to get free time again. Those Kabaya kits are pretty cool, but wouldn't it be sweet if they had Transformers characters in Master Grade model kit form? Look at the Master Grade Zeta and Double Zeta Gundams if you want a better example.

I couldn't agree more!

But for the price I don't complain about this guy. Especialy since he updates his inventory often!

Sure these are smaller than the marketed figures and in odd colors.

But some spray primer will handle that, and they are great for drones and kitbashing. Plus they do transform.

I would love to see some Official Transforming Models myself as again, alot of molds I would like to alter, and kits are easier than store bought figures...

However Hasbro and Takara would charge a fortune for these products, as in the case of this Galvatron(and yes I know he's limited), so I'm taking what I can get.

Still It's kinda funny, this thread and your sig remind me of something I read in ToyFair way back when Super Fire Convoy became RID Optimus Prime about Transformers vs Gundams.

They set several Primes up against several of a certain Gundam(the exact model eludes me), and tested it against fire, high drops, and the ever lethal Daisy Pellet Gun among other things.

Sadly, eventhough they admitted Prime had better playability, in the way of stress tests, the Gumdam won mainly because of it's segmented design.

I know, I was let down too. Later, if I can find the article, I'll ad a link here.

But still If Has/Tak would enter the model TF field, I could see a large market for people who like to have custom figures!

I presume that you mean smaller in relation to the Has/Tak toy releases rather than the original Kabaya model releases from the 80s. As far as I can make out these are the same size as the original Kabayas and appear to have been made using the original moulds, although I'm not 100% on that last part.

You don't do practise painting on @120 bucks of plastics.

I do my practise on $3 knock offs. And decent looking ones too.

Haha. Ok. My bad.
But $120 is still too steep for a light plastic model. And it's not even colored yet.

(I having a feeling that since Prime said "My bad" in the movie, now everybody is saying it too.)

Motto: "Ker-Klick... Choom!"
Weapon: Black Magic
Too bad it does not transform..

And Bludgeon and Thunderwing were mentioned as being next.

I really want to see what they look like too.

As for the Cyclonus and Wheelie, I asked that guy months ago if he was going to sell them and he said no. :-x
Not a sheeple.

UMMMMM not so much, if I want a Galvatron, that i don't have to put together and paint, I think I will wait to see what the new classic figure will look like.

You are correct. It's a detail I should have mentioned, but since I figure the seller has it listed in all his auctions...

I was actualy refering to Has/Tak TFs in that line.

Guys, don't worry, since it's a model kit, that certainly makes it easy for an overseas company to make a completely colored Knockoff Toy quality plastic toy, out of the molds, similar to those dionbots aw ways back, and it's better then buying the model.... painting it, and worrying that if it ever falls over it will break into 80.00 dollars worth of junk..

Agreed, As a boxed collectable, go for it! As a figure, if you have it, again, go for it!

But if rent is looming, wait and save a buck.

I agree.... besides those of us who are experienced in obtaining Models know that if a model kit is created and sold, it then get a fair amoun tof knockoffs in the community..if you miss the original, there will be plenty of knockoffs to go around.. belkieve me, and they would be cheaper and worth the actual price to buy it...

Also, thanks for the compliment, I thought the Masterpiece would be a cool choice for my namesake, plus I love Skywarp he's the best ever!! so I thought this was appropriate.. thanks mostly to TFkenkon and Remy for the high quality images of Skywarp, that's what helped me decide on this Avatar and Sig..besides he looks sooo cool in that face pose, and the sig looks very "adult" in some ways...

All the way around agreed!

As for the sig. I'm not a fan of repainted figures, but somehow with The Seekers, a change of paint always seems to give these figures a new type of life!

You can tell both Hasbro and Takara put alot of care into these jets, to bad that same affection isn't always so well distributed to the other bots(ie G1 movie Jazz, doesn't have a retooled movieish head or arms).

But I agree SkyWarp rules!

As a kid I always favored ThunderCracker, but as I got older SkyWarp just totaly began to outshine him. I think it's the season 3 relation to Cyclonus and Scourges characters that got me thinking that.

StarScream is always popular, but a wuss is a wuss. So outside of liking his Americana colors, I'd rather see the other jets.

Still, for the MP figure, I love that heavy charcoal grey near black that they used. It realy ads a new dimension to both him and the mold!

And hey, if you find the KO model kits, let me know, as I am alittle intrested.

While I hope for the sake of the community at large that this does see a KO version it still seems strange that they'd be limitind the release to around 100 units. Even with a low quality disposable mould they should still be able to cast somewhere in the region of 1000-2000 pieces before quality starts to drop off and definition is lost. I'm not sure how doable a full colured version would be. I suppose this would come down to how many sprues the parts come on and what the distribution of parts on the sprues is like. If they've put all the parts that should be lilac on the same sprue(s) and the same for the greys and oranges then they're almost inviting a coloured KO. Since it's designed to be supplied as a single colour version I think the sprue layout is more likely to be based on what fits within the chosen mould size and keeps the total number of sprues down, unless they were designing it with an eye towards making it easy to spray or airbrush the parts on the frames.

Just wondering but if BBTS can offer up preorders for something this limited from a Japanese show how come they can't get hold of the Jizaitoys kits? They've sold garage kit style TFs in the past and Jizaitoys seem to be present at pretty much all the toy shows in Japan.
