As of toy fair, I was mostly interested in these for potential kitbashin' parts...but DAMN, that Shockwave has such a solid-looking alt mode that I may have to get extra to keep one complete!

Agreed, I can't find a single appealing thing about these that make me want to throw away money on them.
Though I don't collect them, I'd rather hasbro create more kreo transformers, the ones I do have are pretty sweet.

I had started to get used to Dead End being completely different every time he popped up, a bit weird seeing the Prime version of all things getting a second toy of sorts. As he is one of my favorite toys, I hope he gets more homages down the line; a repaint of Legion Wheeljack is a no-brainer, but a Kreon or even a Classics version would also be fun (if perhaps under a different name, I do kinda want to see the original Dead End appear there, too.)

Yeah, I don't like the overall aesthetic of this line. They seem a tad disproportionate to me. The Prime homages are always welcomed, though.

This is like when I was 12 and kids argued over whether Transformers "ripped off" Go-Bots or vice versa. Aren't we all old enough to understand that products can be similar or based on the same idea without one having to be a "ripoff" of the other?
I don't hear anyone complaining about how Hasbro "ripped off" the Japanese companies that invented transformers in the 70s.

Seriously though, Construct-Bots is to Bionicle as Kre-O is to Lego. Similar premises, but that's it. While I have to respect Hasbro's guts of such a move, I'd rather wait and see how it all works out.
Kre-O is decent enough, though not enough to knock Lego off the no. 1 spot of the building block market (they're being heavily discounted here, guys!). I'm expecting Construct-Bots to go the same way.
