Which era had better cartoons?

80's with the likes of Transformers, He-Man, Thundercats.. MASK? GI-Joe.

or

90's with Beast Wars, ReBoot, Shadow Raiders... psh, I don't even know. They're examples!

I was born in eighty-nine but I can still say that the eighties gave us some of the best cartoon heroes and villains ever.

(Even if most were really generic)

My opinion is that this battle doesn't take place and the 80s and 90s cartoons come back, beat the crap out of the 90% of cartoons nowadays that are horrid, let the good 10% join them and we all bask in the glory of the new age.

80's cartoons were definitely better.

80's cartoons. Why?

80's - G.I. Joe
90's - G.I. Joe Extreme!

80's - The Real Ghostbusters
90's - Ghostbuster's Extreme!

80's - The Smurfs
90's - The Smurfs Extreme!

80's - He-man
90's - He-man in space!(granted, later we got the awesome revamp of the old show)

80's - C.O.P.S.

80's - M.A.S.K.

80's - Chuck Norris: Karate Commando's

80's - Alvin and the Chipmunks
90's - Alvin and the Chipmunks X-Treme!

aside from a few awesome shows, like Reboot, Beast Wars, X-men, Spider-man and whatever else there was. The only cartoons the networks seemed to whip up were rehashes of 80's cartoons with "x-treme" slapped at the end.

Neither were better than the other. People who typically grew up in in the 80's think that their shows were better than the 90's stuff, but they only remember the better stuff & forget about all the crap that was on during the same time. Just as people who grew up in the 90's do the same when talking about the current era of cartoons.

For every good 80's show like Sunbow-produced G.I. Joe, Transformers, The Real Ghostbusters, Muppet Babies or Thundercats, you had crap like The Smurfs, Foofur, The Littles, Monchichi, Gobots, New Kids on the Blook or Rubik The Amazing Cube. And for every good 90's show like Reboot, Beast Wars, Batman:TAS, Gargoyles or Animaniacs, you had crap like Hammerman, DIC-produced G.I. Joe, Ed Grimly, Captain Planet, Life with Louie or Kid & Play. Not to mention the diluge of Sentai/Metal Heroes/Tokusatsu shows Saban ruined with Big Bad Beetleborgs, Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad, Masked Rider, and of course Power Rangers.

90s cartoon = crap. And they continue to get worse. Some are still alright but are very far and few between.

Ya know I got a better title for this thread.

The combined forces of 80s and 90s cartoons vs the 00s cartoons.

Most cartoon shows today are crap. There many that are good of course, but not of the magnitude of the past.

because they had the most wicked cartoon ever such as Thundercats,tf (obously),HE MAN ETC
if you compair todays cartoons to the 80s cartoons you will see theres no contest 80s are the best

As I already informed Evolution Prime, this isn't the 90s, which is what the original battle was about.
