I haven't stayed current with Transformers collecting, though I still collect. There's just so much that it can be overwhelming to try and get back into it. So I'd like to know if anyone has put together a good guide for which figures fit as 'classics'. In other words, which figures from the modern age of Transformers are good updates or homages to characters from G1. Aside from the obvious 'Classics, Universe, and now Generations' lines this can also include Titanium 6", Movieverse, Japanese release figures (music label soundwave), or even unofficial products (like city commander ultra magnus upgrade). If someone can point me to a guide like this that's already made that would be awesome, otherwise maybe we can go over it in this thread and come up with something.
