In the last year and a half I've really cut back on the number of figures I buy. I've cut out the "well, i might like it" ones and stuck with only the "that's cool, I know I'll really enjoy that" ones. Nearly all of them are new molds I don't have yet, and not repaints of ones I do. I make the decisions primarily from photos, like the great galleries here at Seibertron, and what I read in the forums about overall quality and satisfaction from folks who already have the figures. I've limited my purchases to only deluxe size figures and a few scout class figures. I just like the size of these figures and their price point. Anyway, I've been very happy with each and every purchase I've made under this collecting plan. In the last month I've purchased:

DOTM:
Deluxe Thundercracker
Deluxe Walmart Exclusive Optimus Prime
Deluxe Walmart Exclusive Sideswipe repaint

Generations:
Thundercracker
Wheeljack

Each one has given me that "Wow, that's frickin cool" feeling as I transformed and posed it the first few times. Of the figures listed above, DOTM Thundercracker and Generations Wheeljack are the ones I enjoyed the most.
