I got Movie Longarm today when I was out looking for Dropkick. I'm really impressed with this figure, he looks great in robot and vehicle mode.

I got the screen battles version of Long arm at my local Target. He is better than the normal deluxe.

I won a TRU commemorative Hoist off of Ebay today for $15 w/o shipping and handling. I'm not sure why I really bid on him, it was out of impulse, but I don't mind having a Hoist since he always looked *different* than other G1 characters and I never had a Hoist.

I'm also bidding on a loose Alternators Silverstreak which I'm hoping(fingers crossed) I can win for $15, as well.

Added a SW TF Luke Skywalker snow speeder. Eh, not bad, but the Commander Cody turbo tank is a better figure. The vehicle mode looks good, the robot is kind of "meh", lots of pieces just hanging off, but you can move them around to make it look better than what the instructions recommend. I think I'll add the AT-AT and that will be that for those figures.

good luck on trying to get him for a low price. I had to pay a good amount of money for my Alt. Silverstreak this past summer. My figure is one that was slightly messed up...his steering wheel is on the right-hand side.

Picked up the "Final Stand" screen set. I had it preordered but now I don't have to pay shipping. I'd been seeing them around but it took me a little while to find one w/ good packaging since I don't plan on opening it.

Woot! I just won the Alt. Silverstreak for $20, including shipping and handling. It's in "used" condition, but as long as the figure is complete and was used for display purposes, I really am not picky. The only Alternators remaining that I really want are Mirage, Wheeljack, and Jaguar Ravage, though I would probably pick up, say Decepticharge, to give me a nice even 20 Alts overall.

Cascadia, I always enjoy your array of Prowl-related pictures you have attached to your profile! The Silverstreak that you bought, wouldn't that be a European release with the right-hand steering wheel? I thought that figure might be kind of rare, which could have contributed to the cost, but I might be wrong.

Weapon: Air Rifle
That's the first european release of alt BS. For that variant alone the wheel was on the right.

It is indeed quite rare. Heck, I bought mine during the first release, and the wheel's on the left.

My Silverstreak was maybe European-made... It is a rare one. I think that I spent $80 on him. When the toy was first released, the first version released was identical in design to BT Streak. However, roughly around July/August of 2004, the more common version appeared with the dashboard layout altered. Whereas the first release had the steering wheel on the right hand side, the new version had the steering wheel on the left. There's no telling how many of the right side steering wheel version were made, but they have been uncommon enough that the secondary market has very few of them to offer.

In terms of my images, thank you...I probably have 4 or 5 Prowl-related and a couple of Jazz images that I rotate at times. The images that I put in my signature are very easy to do. Well, congrats on finding Silverstreak.

On side note, two of my friends gave me a G1 Megatron.

I finally got the TRU Soundwave, and Classics Voyager Megatron
both on ebay for pretty decent prices considering what they can sell for.
I can't decide if I should get Classics Starscream...
I'm kicking myself for not gettting Bumblebee, and now he's not being listed.
So do I get SS or hold out for BB????

I would hold out for BB since I think he's the better figure and since I saw him more than SS in retail, I think he probably will be easier(re: cheaper) to obtain. His poseability is just about as good as Mirage's his transformation is easy, yet fun, and, unlike his G1 toy, he actually looks like the little fellow!

I've seen Starscream go for some exorbitant prices. I would go up to about $18-$20, but anything more and it's just not worth it. Out fo the 3 Classics seekers, SS ranks 3rd, IMO, seems his paint job seems rather bland and his lack of face paint has become notorious. If you haven't found a Skywarp and Ramjet, do yourself a favor and find them; it's worth more the effort than SS, methinks.

Hey, thanks for the advice...
I do have the Magnus/Skywarp 2 pk., and my Ramjet should be delivered Monday.
I really would like to get SS eventually, but I agree, imo, anything over $23 (plus shipping on top of that) is about as much as I'm willing to spend.
Especially since I'm looking forward to the Animated series, still want to pick up 2-3 movie deluxes, the new shiny movie SS,
AND, I'm considering going after Astrotrain too.
Not to mention that the last auctions I saw for BB, the winner was paying over $30 (with shipping).

got the new allspark voyagers today at wal mart; first strike prime, blue ironhide, and evac
.... i also saw the new fast action battlers there; smokescreen, ramjet, blue ironhide, fireblast prime, but passed on all of them. i wasnt too crazy about these and imo they all look worse than their original counterparts. except for ramjet, who looked the best out of the bunch. but overall they were eh and none of them were wow material

First haul in awhile:

Movie Dropkick - Awesome, I was really impressed by the complex nature of his transformation, he's a great deluxe.

Movie G1 Jazz - I knew from all the bad press that this was a fairly poor figure but having seem him first hand I can say he's a really rushed, shoddy design in many aspects but he looks pretty nice up on my shelf I guess.

Encore G1 Ironhide & Ratchet - I like the kitchy, weirdness of these two, however the build quality of the Encore reissues is starting to concern me, the plastic feels like the stuff they use for the toys you get in Christmas crackers and the finishing(cleaning up join seems, excess plastic etc) and paint appliations are average at best, Hasbro's Commemorative series were better than this, What's going on Takara?

Finally, after 20 years of playing with and collecting Transformers, I have a G1 Megatron!! My wife got it for my birthday and I have to say, I love this beast! She got me the Takara Encore version so he came with all the goodies. I was so tempted to fire off some of those bullets, but was terrified of losing them. Now I just have to convince her to get me Encore Prime to go with it...
