I am recently in the quest of collecting G1 decepticon combiners, lately been interested in the terrocons and abominus. I got two questions:
a) How much would be a fair price for Abominus which is complete in Gestalt mode with large weapon but missing all the other terrocon accesories and weapons.
b) How much is the fair price for 100% complete abominus with all weapons and accessories
c) Does anyone feel that an encore for this figure is likely in the near future?

A) Don't know*
B) Don't know*
*you could look at completed eBay auctions to get an idea of what Terrorcons/Abominus have sold for in the past.
C) The chances of the Terrorcons being rereleased is pretty small. I'm sure there are more popular figures in the Japanese market that would get the Encore treatment before these guys. Plus we do not have any verification that TakTom still has the molds for these figures.

Even if you get him without the smaller robots' accessories, you should try to get the laser gun/dorsal fin that goes on the back of the white shark. (can't remember his name.) Without it he looks less like a shark, and more like an aerodynamic hamster.

That fin only comes off if he's broken. The guns, however are removable.

I think you're slightly confused as to what he's referring to. The white tailfin is not removable, but the blue gun that goes onto his back also has a fin attached to it.

The White Shark everyone is referring too is Ripper Snapper and to remind everyone one he does have a design flaw! when transforming him into bot mode, the shark head lifts up and over the bot head and if your careless you can snap off the bots head when doing this!!!
i would like to add that i just found all of G1 terrorcons except cutthroat and some Abominus pieces, but i'm still looking for them. I went to ebay to look for parts and such and did see a complete sets with everything for around $180.00!

You're right. I wasn't thinking about that since I try to display my stuff as show accurate as I can. I had forgotten the piece actually does have a fin. Oh and uh, you know me man. Life is a constant state of confusion for me. It's good though, no worries. Yay, Abominus!!

Are you sure about that? I'm not saying you're wrong... okay, I am, but trying to be nice about it... but I think you're confusing Ripper Snapper with Blot. I have my original G1 Ripper Snapper on my Desk. Have had it since he came out and have transformed him numerous times over the last 2+ decades and never once did I feel like I would snap off his robot head...
Blot on the other hand, well, I have popped his purple claw off a couple of times, and was always afraid to put his robot head where it belongs in alt mode, because I pretty much thought the head would be long gone.

The landshark is RipperSnapper and he forms Abominus left arm and if you dont belive me, check this out: http://transformers.wikia.com/wiki/Rippersnapper_(G1)

G1 is my era too and I know them pretty well... and I have all of my Terrorcons as well... but if you are telling me that there is a chance you can pop off Ripper Snapper's robot head, then you must be transforming him wrong, or played with him way too rough. You lift the shark head, over the robot head, and it never makes contact with the robot head. Now if you are forcing Ripper Snapper into Hun-Grr while forming Abominus, then something could go amiss. The only one that I know has a chance of popping off the head was Blot, because the Transformation has you folding his robot head backwards, between his legs, then pushing the legs up. If you didn't line it up right and forced the legs up, well, you probably break the head right off... so when I transform him, I keep Blots head in a position like I'm going to join him to Hun-Grr, then push the legs up, then push the head down so it looks like it's coming out of Blot's rear. Not the best place, but better than Blot having no robot head, at all.
