Over the years there have been some truly fantastic city-bots, Omega Supreme, Metroplex, Countdown, and of course, the iconic Fortress Maximus to name just a few.

However, which one of these brilliant battle stations is best?

For sheer size obviously nothing can beat Fort' Max'. However, my own personal favorite is actually G1 Metroplex. I've got some very fond memories of this guy. He was the very first city-bot I bought, His transformation was uncomplicated but effective, and most importantly of all, I loved the interaction with his minibots.

So, Metroplex is my favourite, who's yours?

In that case, it'd be Cybertron / Galaxy Force Metroplex / Megalo Convoy. Because he stole the name of a Baseformer and doesn't even turn into a base. :P Heck, he doesn't even turn into anything at all - he bends over and slaps his axe on his back.

i m going to have to say countdown...but that was the only one I owned so i thought it was awesome. It certainly helped that I had at least 4 or 5 of the micromaster teams or whatever the small ones were called.

I only had Scorponok and Omega supreme. Really liked Scorponok. Super sturdy and looked good but alot of easily lost parts.

I've always liked Trypticon but never owned one but i really like his city modes too, from what i've seen anyways.

Omega is just really fun with the tank rolling around on the track. His base mode is excellent for it's playability.

So my vote goes to Omega Supreme then Scorponok.

I have most of the bases, with Brave Max as my 'Maximus' mold. I'll be honest, apart from looks, most of the mid-size bases (Metroplex, Trypticon, Overlord, Skorponok) are pretty much alike: a couple of platforms, a couple of towers and some weapons, with in actual fact only very slight interaction possibilities with small transformers. Omega Supreme is different due to the roller, but also allows only slight interaction with other TF's.

Fortress / Brave / Grand Maximus allow for a lot more interaction capabilities (jail & elevator, for example) with other small and 'deluxe' size TF's, due to it's size. in my opinion, this just makes this mold the best TF base.

I guess as far as looks are concerned opinions differ.Although it's a great mold, I do not think the FM mold looks very good. IMO, Overlord looks pretty good, as do Skorponok and Trypticon. I think Metroplex looks a bit boring, to be honest, and I was never fond of Omega Supreme.
I'm so meta, even this acronym...

I have Metroplex, Scorponok and Trypticon. The thing that amazed me when I got Trypticon is how much he spreads out in base mode! I think he has the most impressive base mode. I wish I had the space to display it!

I saw the sign, it opened up my eyes, I saw the sign.

Anyway, I don't own any of the baseformers unless you count God Ginrai, but out of all of them I like the look of Metroplex the best. He's a city with actual buildings and stuff! That's pretty sweet.

Overlord. That's how a Decepticon base should look like.

If we count non-robot transformers, the micromaster Countdowns base is the best.

Fortress Maximus beats all.as mentioned above the lift Jail and "roads" just beat all.

I currently have my Protectobots and Technobots all over Max in his city mode.Scattershot and Hot Spot are standing off to one side and they all look great
